An interesting part of life online, what is your opinion on internet trolls? What do you think is wrong with them? Why do you think they take pleasure in getting negative attention? Some would say that it is a form of mental disorder. https://www.psychologytoday.com/blo...rolls-are-narcissists-psychopaths-and-sadists
Internet trolling, anonymously, means people can say whatever they want. They have total freedom. They love to press people to get a rise out of them. The problem is, many trolls don't know how to stop. Trolls literally have no life. I love that South Park has been making fun of trolls in the latest season.
Yeah, that gets tiresome after a while. I post at another board sometimes, and almost every single conversation about anything turns into an all out insult fest every single time.
I went over to a rival message board of this one (not allowed to name it), and EVERYONE there was trolling either Trump, or Hillary fans. There was no rational discussion. So when I tried to discuss items rationally, people would report me and I was banned. I was banned for not trolling.
Trolling is fun to a certain degree. At another board we all turned against this one guy for no real reason at all and teased the crap out of him. Even mods were against him, he asked them to perma-ban him because he "could not take it anymore" but mods just replied with no. Eventually he signed off and never came back. Hope he is OK.
Nah, it was pretty innocent. Basically everyone teased everyone. The board had a chat with a few frequent users, it was in the chat we "bullied" him and not in the discussion board. The chat had a nice, very family-like atmosphere. Some of the users became my "internet friends" and I still talk to them today. Eventually some ****** mod banned me and this other guy for "racism" without even taking in consideration the context and it being obvious jokes. Anyways, we are both unbanned now after 3 years in prison.
Best time of my life. Gave me some of the best laughs I ever had so don'tchu dare taking that away from me by pathologising my behaviour.
I think many trolls are bots or they might as well be for the most part. The nice part about these boards is you can ignore people
Anyways, the thread is about internet trolls, and no Ritter, you do not qualify. I hate trolls. They should stay under their dirty smelly bridges where they belong!
Some people simply are so locked into one specific ideology and many times they are locked into one specific concept of MANY ideologies that because they simply have never been educated or perhaps they were directed to read and learn about false concepts and ideologies they simply cannot handle reading about the realities of things. So they fight back in the only way they know waiting under a bridge waiting to pounce upon anyone they feel they can rattle. They don't tend to bother me as I will just cut them to ribbons with logic and facts. But they certainly are sore losers!! LOL!! AA
I remember one time on a different site I mentioned that my son served in the military, and some troll said he hoped he died in combat. Another one hoped he got his legs blown off. I would love to see them say that to my face ... or to his.
I am so sorry you had to go through that. I actually have a tear in my eye. I have experienced several things like that. One not too recently. Fortunately a bunch of Ex-Military Bikers surrounded a grieving family of a fallen soldier against a bunch of religious zealots who were carrying signs and screaming that their son had died because Gay Marriage was Legal. I am a man who abhors violence but I am also a man who is capable of extreme directed acts of violence upon levels most people could never understand. I was there. I was angry. Me being angry is NEVER a good thing. AA
Self-hating little cowards, IMO. The anonymity of the internet lets cowardly men vent their frustration at knowing that there are better men than themselves ... real men they will never be.
Most definitely. They have some serious issues. Maybe it's a self esteem thing where they can't relate to people on a normal level or something.
