Iowa governor signs 'constitutional carry' bill that removes permit requirements for handguns

    Reynolds signed into lawFriday a law that loosens regulations on gun ownership by eliminating the need for a permit to buy or carry handguns in the state.

    The new law takes effect July 1, with many calling it a "constitutional carry" bill.

    "Today I signed legislation protecting the Second Amendment rights of Iowa’s law-abiding citizens while still preventing the sale of firearms to criminals and other dangerous individuals," Reynolds said in a statement

    This is great news for the rights under the constitution for the American people. The 2A is the guardian of our political and personal freedom. This is a great move by another free state to protect or liberty.

    I own two handguns myself. Not much protection if the government comes after them but along with my neighbors it's a good enough defense,

    I agree. But Biden is going to attempt to do a nation wide law that goes the other way. Not that we will comply with it.

    When Biden comes for my guns he's going to need someone to help him off of Air Force One and someone else to help back up the stairs on the return flight. Have they thought this gun confiscation plan through you think?

    I live in WV, a State with Constitutional carry. The libs said it would cause a bloodbath and Wild West shootout in the Street. None of which happened when the law was passed. The street shootout seem to occur in the liberal areas with strong gun control.

    States need to pass laws similar to the sanctuary city laws, prohibiting law enforcement or resources to be used to enforce Biden mandated gun confiscation. This is starting to happen. The Millions of Americans who live in the smalls towns and rural areas of America, and Conservative States do not have to kowtow to the demands of big city liberals and Blue State Communists.
