Biden has just had his second term handed to him on a platinum platter. All he has to do now is eradicate the Iranian military.

Hint: destroy all their 'stuff' on TOP of the ground, Joe... don't worry about all the **** down in their "bunkers". Just for ONCE, Joe, do something that makes some ****ing SENSE!

Looks like he is at least taking a step that way:

U.S. launches strikes on Iranian-linked targets in Syria in retaliation for drone attacks on U.S. military bases
Defense Secretary Austin said the strikes were on two facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and affiliated groups.

The U.S. launched strikes on Iranian-linked targets in Syria on Thursday in retaliation for a series of drone attacks on American military bases in the region, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said.

"Today, at President Biden’s direction," Austin said, "U.S. military forces conducted self-defense strikes on two facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and affiliated groups. These precision self-defense strikes are a response to a series of ongoing and mostly unsuccessful attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups that began on October 17."

The U.S. military action comes amid rising tensions in the region over the conflict in Israel. Austin called the attacks “separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas” and said they don’t represent a shift in the U.S. approach to the conflict.

Yes he is and his handlers are taking the reins away. However, his actions in Afghanistan and appeasement around the world has got us in this position. I don't think Americans will be fooled again. (and they said it was the "orange man" that would get us into WWIII)

If Trump is smart (doubtful), the only "deal" he can hope to strike now is some kind of PLEA DEAL with a growing number of prosecutors on the Federal and State levels.

No, whether anybody likes Biden, his string-pullers, handlers, and other 'back-office' Democrat bureaucrats, the ball is now squarely in their court, and so far their track-record is damned awful (Afghanistan...?). Is a turning point near?

Perhaps! Democrats can learn from the experience of their great demi-god, four-term president, Frankie Roosevelt! He had a failing presidency, an economy propped up with socialistic welfare programs, which were in a second state of failure, and a country that was in NO MOOD for a repeat of World War ONE. But with Churchill's brains and Americans' brawn, he has gone down in history as our greatest wartime president. We can debate that all day long, but right now the paramount collision-point is with a dangerously violent, intolerant religion which is hell-bent on destroying all "Infidels" -- Islam!

SO -- If Joe Biden can be the figurehead that gets rid of the most prominent threat to rational civilization -- the Iranian military -- then let's let him DO it. Afterwards, if he's successful, I'll be the first to approve giving Joe a 'laurel wreath' while grateful free people everywhere sing his praises....

What I find curious about all these tit for tat type "messaging attacks" by each side is how each side reports or does not report on them.

Iranian media haven't given this US strike much coverage, barely acknowledging it. Except today there were (what I call low key) reports by Iranian media of some attack against the US base in Syria presumably in response. (I refer to them as low key because the coverage in the Iranian media is focused on Gaza and the television reports on this were in the form of news texts that appear while some story is being aired, with the reports mainly in the print media citing Press TV's low key report). In any case, I haven't read any US or western media reports yet to confirm this claim. Of course, it took the US several days or more to acknowledge what had been already by then 13 such attacks against US bases (the number later climbing to 19 after Blinken's UN remarks that contained threats directed at Iran), which underlines the fact that these attacks are merely to send messages to one another without risking escalation. Usually, each side tries to not even acknowledge them.

I am aware that the attacks on the US bases by the Iranian affiliated groups have been designed to avoid casualties, even though there were minor injuries and such associated with some of them. And I suspect that the US attack was also designed not to cause serious casualties either, although the CNN reporting on them tried to make them seem more serious by saying that US defense department had indicated the base that was attacked by the US was used by Iran's revolutionary guards and had some IRGC personnel on the base during the day. In any case, I haven't read anything to suggest any casualties, much less to actual IRGC personnel. Today's reprisal attack reported in the Iranian media seems in the same category.

I wish Republicans would join Team-USA and play on the same court with the rest of the country, but no, - they can't bring themselves to do that.

I won't pretend that I like Trump, but you are right. I knew Biden was a terrible pick for president, but I am shocked at what warmongers the Democratic party has become. They are going full speed ahead with escalating the war in the Middle East, and prolonging the war in Ukraine. I haven't been following developments with China and Taiwan, but for some reason I do not think they are defusing the situation rather than ramping up for war and aggravating the situation.

If you want Democrats to do something, let Trump suggest the opposite.

Trump could say horse manure stinks and Democrats would sell it as perfume.

Which team would that be? The highly educated student protest team that is demonstrating against Israe? Those demonstrations seem to be escalating and violence is not far off. Is that Team America?

What does Team-USA sound like, when we are talking about US hitting terrorist positions in Syria? Team-USA has made it crystal clear we are behind Israel.

If you want to think Team-USA is a bunch of drunken college kids waiving Palestinian flags, then I'm afraid it only shows you search for division when there is not much at hand. 92% of Americans are for Israel on this thing.

I remember US fanning the flames and helping Iraq fight Iran. Many believe US encouraged Saddam to go for it.

Team USA is being ****ing retarded right now. The USA shouldn't be pro Israel or pro Palestine when they are slaughtering each other's civilians. Team USA should be finding ways for peace, not escalating the conflict as fast as they can. Sending a 2nd aircraft carrier, and more troops to act as targets is only going to escalate the situation, as is sending another $100 billion to Israel to help in the slaughter. The idea that sending more troops into a place where irregular warfare is being waged is lunacy. That is the surest and quickest way to make the situation worse, like throwing water on a grease fire.
