The IRS warning me of a shutdown is almost as terrifying as my wife warning me she isn't going to speak to me. It's almost as terrifying as a teenager going to their room saying they won't come back out. It's almost as terrifying as your boss saying he doesn't have time to help you with your project. Even Hitler knew he would not get much mileage out of threatening to shut down the Gestapo.

It would seem to make sense for the DNC to make up the difference for one of their star performers.

Why can't the IRS nitwit come up with something really frightening like, "If we don't have unlimited resources we'll have Lois Lerner talk." That should get the White House shoveling money to the IRS. The White House has money to invited tens of thousands of young people to come up illegally from Mexico and points south to live at government expense so why can't the White House come up with money to help the poor embattled IRS?

Perhaps the $76 million of Obamacare rollout monies the IRS "lost" could be "found". Perhaps the added agents needed for Obamacare can be fired when we get rid of Obamacare.

Or, we could simplify the tax code, made it easier and more honest, eliminate the outrageous fraud that is leaking billions, and....nah, forget it. Not going to happen. Two years ago I couldn't file electronically because some Democrat had already used my SS number to defraud the IRS. He didn't use my name though. You'd think even a government agency would be bright enough to compare SS numbers and names, wouldn't you? They aren't.

The downside is the billions that will go uncollected from cheats. But, if that describes you, I suppose I could see why you're happy.

That's what happens when you stymie Congress. Be forthright and hand Lois Lerner over...

You haven't noticed the billions that get collected and then sent out to frauds and cheats? You must be one of Gruber's Grunions.

This warning of a shut down and failing to pay refunds can easily be fixed.

Just start by FIRING the head of the IRS and keep doing so until we get a head that will run the IRS right, and see that they do their job properly. B'crat are a dime a dozen, and Im sure we could get one that runs the agency right.

Maybe we should end our drug war to pay for Constitutional government.

maybe if the government gets really desperate for money they can look for the 6 billion that Hillary lost at the State Department

The State Department misplaced and lost some $6 billion due to the improper filing of contracts during the past six years, mainly during the tenure of former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, according to a newly released Inspector General report.

The $6 billion in unaccounted funds poses a “significant financial risk and demonstrates a lack of internal control over the Department’s contract actions,” according to the report.

The alert, originally sent on March 20 and just released this week, warns that the missing contracting funds “could expose the department to substantial financial losses.”

The report centered on State Department contracts worth “more than $6 billion in which contract files were incomplete or could not be located at all,” according to the alert.

“The failure to maintain contract files adequately creates significant financial risk and demonstrates a lack of internal control over the Department’s contract actions,” the alert states.

Um you do know that the fact that they aren't collecting money from them in the first place is what makes them cheats right?

Fear mongering from the IRS? Don't they strike enough fear already?
