Is anyone tired of the Obama birth-place criticism?

That's true. Everyone should be able to voice an opinion, whether I like what their saying or not.

In this particular instance I feel like I am wondering what to do about the giant balls of fire falling from the sky while others are asking about what shoes they should wear to the beach.

Quite honestly, I don't care where he was born. My point is that there are much bigger issues to worry about. Maybe if the press had covered all the broken promises made by Obama people would criticize him for that.

You don't really hear people talking a lot about his broken promises. The Libs know he's the only chance the have for a president that is "on their side". Cons are glad he broke a lot of the promises, as they have opposing politics, and it would make no sense to criticize him for doing what you think is best.

In spite of his promises, there still isn't a law on the books forbidding bankrupt companies from giving bonuses to executives. He hasn't fought for equality for same sex marriage. He did not increase the capital gains tax. He did not end no-bid contracts above $25K. He did not repeal the bush tax cuts. He said he wouldn't go after Medical Marijuana suppliers and then he did.

There are many more examples from all over the place. The ones above came from www.politifact.com

I really just don't care where he was born. I suppose it's a bit selfish, but I care the most about things that affect me and the people I know.

How does where he was born actually affect anyone? Why is there a law against being a president if you are from another country? When was it put in place? Is the reasoning still relevant in the modern world? If we decided he wasn't born in America, would that invalidate every law he has signed into place? How did the people digging up dirt on him miss that?

I just don't understand how this issue is a front runner in peoples criticism of the job being done.

I dunno, the way Obama is systematically destroying our economy he MUST be an alien. And stop with the racial comments, Obama isn't even black...Other famous blacks told US so. :)

I didn't vote for Obama and wouldn't vote for anyone like him. I am however, seriously considering voting for Herman Cain as are a lot of other decent Americans.

Fine post as always dread,,,,,Well there are many people here that are strong with the Constitution,so it is VERY IMPORTANT to them. I would say most people here are Constitution minded, some to change it, and some to stay stead fast....I am of the stead fast belief, so to me that is a good enough reason that he be legit. I have said many times and I will say it again,,I do believe he is legit only because the Dems would never be that stupid and take that kind of chance,,,why would they? Hell, they knew the crash was comming, any Dem would have won.
Yes he was a big dissapointment to a lot of people, that's why I think somebody is pulling his strings. I doubt these decisions are his alone, he was put there to owe favors, they could never have gotten that from Clinton.

So,,,many are about the Constitution, and yes some are racist without a doubt, not near to what some here think. To them anybody is racist,,or even a birther if that's what they want to call them, and why? Because they are not 100% on their side,,,dumb! Childrens games, but to them they want to get even for giving their guy a hard time....Somebody should tell them he is all grown up,,,LOL,,same people do the same thing to Palin...

To me this thing is just a thread, if your interested go on, if not ...meh.. I find someof it curious, like Obama giving them such a hard time. It's obvious he does not want it looked into, and it's anybodies guess why. He has fought it tooth and nail..[They will even argue that], but anybody with common sense knows he has doged it,,he is still dodging it. Perhaps it is just insulting to him,,maybe.
One thing for sure, it was Obama people that opened the can of worms again. I do not think they are doing it to change the things he has done, to them that would just be a bonus. Many feel he really is not legit and want answers and expect the Constitution be upheld

One last thing, you asked what would be the difference if he was boen someplace else. If he was born in another country he may feel a stronger allegience to them then us..He may do something that might benifit them more than it does us,,or may hold a grudge against one ofour allies...

People like you really worry me. Stop living in fantasy land and come join the rest of us in reality. Maybe you are a small government conservative. Fine whatever. But to peddle birther nonsense is intellectually dishonest and hurts your credibility. The history books are not going to be kind to you.

People that cant read worry me more,,DID YOU SEE WHAT I SAID??,,and I have repeated the same thing CONSTANTLY,,,

I BELIEVE HE WAS BORN HERE!!! ALWAYS HAVE!!

Your bias is sooo one sided you do not even bother reading,,it's amazing...You are so in love with this guy, you are soo determined to stand by anything he says or does you will ruin this country before you see him as any different.
The Poll numbers of some groups that give him over eighty percent approval are just a sample of the blind prejudice involved.
Seriously,,your knee jerk reaction is just too stark naked....

I think Obama should be constantly questioned on everything just like Bush was. There is nothing wrong with trying to find out if he lied about his birthplace. We were told that it was 'patriotic' to question the President by none other than our current Secretary of State when Bush was President now when there is a Democrat President we are all supposed to shut up.

It's ok to question his policies, motivations, political opportunism and the like. Birth place is not. And it's been fact checked multiple times and the birther claims never hold up to the facts. If you like I will link you up.

Cry me a river....I recall the liberal-media and the libs here at the Forum giving Bush an anal-exam about his military service, his intelligence, his drinking, etc. constantly. Heck, there are folks right here on the Forum that believe Bush had a hand in 9/11...These were not issues about his 'policies, motivations, political opportunism and the like.'

If Obama had intelligence issues, or drinking issues they would be fair game also. I don't believe Bush was responsible for 9/11. There's plenty of other things he did wrong than to dabble in conspiracy theories. As to Bush's military issues, that is pretty much his fault. Credible sources dug up dirt on him. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/1999/sep/29/uselections2000.usa. If Obama had dirt like that, I'd say he deserves to be asked about it. I also don't support everything Obama does, I'm just a liberal and he is the best thing I can get. In our two party system we can only vote for the most closely aligned.

Ahhhh, another person who must've been in the delivery room the day Barack was born. How else could ANYONE be 100% sure a politician is telling the truth?

The real fools are the ones who underestimate how far powerful people will go to get the person of their choice elected president.

    Libs are such trusting idiots.

Seriously? Even the Democrats are questioning his policies. Frankly he is looking more and more like an inept fool with every passing day. Even the Black caucus is having 2nd thoughts.

Obama had a smoking habit while in office (he says he quit). BTW Bush didn't drink they were hammering him for his past. Obama has a checkered past (no real experience, shady house deal, shady friends etc.) yet the press has seen fit to look the other way.

I would agree, it seems he does not have the problem solving ability. This does not make him inferior as a person, but not a good choice for President. I think this is where his defenders get confused. They think if you do not approve you are calling him inferior, and they cant accept that.
Nobody is calling him inferior as a human being, he is just not as good as others are at solving problems. Many of us would not be good at that.

Rush Limbaugh said he wanted Obama to fail. And since he is a conservative and disagrees with Obama's policies, I understand where he was coming from. That alone isn't racist. The Tea Parties message is not racist on the surface. I may believe it's misguided, but like I said before real disagreement isn't about racism.

The point is why would anyone question Obama's citizenship after it has been thoroughly shown he was born here. I hope you don't think I am saying EVERYONE who disagrees with Obama is racist. I'm just saying on the specific issue of birtherism. However, I thought about this more and it may not be racism so much as insane hatred of any Democrat. Clinton was impeached over a blow job and he was definitely white, so I could just be misattributing motivations.

Misguided is the main reason Dems are. Obama went to law school without a powerful father, something that takes intelligence to do. Democrats are questioning Obama because he has been acting like Republican lite.

As to the smoking habit, I don't care. I wouldn't care if George Bush had wine every night while in the White House. The point with Bush was that he had a DUI, along with his questionable military service. It made liberals wonder if he was responsible enough to hold the highest office in the land. But people change throughout their lives, and that stuff was pretty early on in his life. The main reason the military service was drug out so much was because Republicans try to paint Democrats as unpatriotic and anti-military. They try to say only Republicans are real Americans (which is what Palin did in the 2008 campaign). And so Democrats said well, if that is the case and you care so much about your country, why did you dodge the military if you believed in the mission? It was mostly an attempt at a rebuttal imho. And then Bush tried to paint John Kerry as weak, when Kerry actually served and earned a purple heart. It was just really sleazy politics.

Obama's father was African, and his mother was American, and so what? The reason the Obama administration may not have been as forthright about producing the president's birth certificate as people would have liked, has everything to do with the fact that the issue was silly to begin with. "Sorry! You ran for president and won but somehow you forgot about this little detail! You went to Harvard Law School, so obviously you haven't read the Constitution, but here's a friendly reminder." If you were sitting in the Oval Office authorizing covert military operations and meeting with international leaders, how much time would you even have to spend correcting a relatively small group of, admittedly, pretty racist people who will find each and every reason to tell the world that you unconstitutionally made it to the most important federal position by virtue of democracy?

Obama has a checkered past in regard to his education. Much of which he refuses to talk about.

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=74877

    From the link...

"For starters, Obama did not do nearly well enough at his previous stop, Columbia University, to justify admission to Harvard Law."

"According to the New York Sun, university spokesman Brian Connolly confirmed that Obama graduated in 1983 with a major in political science but without honors.

In the age of affirmative action and grade inflation, a minority in a relatively easy major like political science had to under-perform dramatically to avoid minimal honors. Obama apparently did just that."

So...how did he even get into Harvard?

"If Obama's LSAT scores merited admission, we would know about them. We don't. The Obama camp guards those scores, like his SAT scores, more tightly that Iran does its nuclear secrets."

"We know enough about Obama's Columbia grades to know how far they fall below the Harvard norm, likely even below the affirmative action-adjusted black norm at Harvard.

As far back as 1988, however, Obama had serious pull. He would need it. As previously reported, Khalid al-Mansour, principle adviser to Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, lobbied friends like Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton to intervene at Harvard on Obama's behalf."

I could really care less, after all, lawyers can be inept idiots too however, Obama does have baggage when it comes to his education, his associates ("Bill Ayers" for example) his drug use (marijuana and cocaine) etc. Yet not so much as a peep from the MSM.

Obama smoked marijuana and snorted Cocaine and has 0 military service yet the liberals saw fit to raise him up as some sort of god-like entity.

If powerful democrats wouldn't do things like throw their medals away (John Kerry), claim our troops are murderers, try to undermine our efforts in Iraq (during Bush) etc. then maybe folks would not try to paint Democrats as unpatriotic.

Politicians are liable to say most anything if it means getting votes. Palin is no exception. Kerry's service has come under question as well as the sleaze machine spews forth from both right and left. Actually, politics is always sleazy that's why the Founders gave We the People the right to vote their sleazy butts out of office and why, over the years, term limits were established.

Obama is a miserable excuse for a President. I look forward to voting against him in about 17 months. That said, I agree that the whole birthplace stuff should stop. If, for some wild, wierd reason, the argument would be correct, it would mean Joe Biden would be President. That's about the only thing I can think of worse than Obama as President.
