During the Trump administration, we heard from a lot of democrats who said Trump was acting as a dictator. I'd love to hear from that same group (and anyone else who would like to chime in), what do you think of Biden's actions such as the vaccine mandates for employees, telling the governors he will get them out of his way, telling the American people his patience is wearing thin. Do you think Biden is acting as a dictator?
Just as Trump wasn't a dictator neither is Biden. Anyone who claims either was/is a dictator doesn't know what a dictator is and is also being hyper partisan.
Benedict Donald would love to be a dicktater, and he tried his best to pull it off but, failed! President Biden is swimming up the anti-vaxx stream, nothing he will try will be popular with tRump supporters.
Correction: Trump was a wannabe dictator. In other words, he wanted to act as a dictator. But, as in everything else in his presidency, he failed! Biden has not taken any actions whatsoever that would even hint that he is seeking to act in a dictatorial manner.
Biden is a puppet. The dictator is the DNC. They operate under the guise of democracy but have full control of their own electorate with tools they call "super delegates" and if they flood in enough uneducated/blind voters from the south they will have the general election wrapped up. In the end, whomever the name is as president is inconsequential as the DNC runs the show.
If the Republicans had superdelegates we would be in the second term of the Jeb Bush administration and Republicans would control the house and senate. Instead, we had four years of Trump and barely literate people like MTG and Lauren Bobert rising.
Trump's nomination proved that democracy is at least still possible on the right since nobody wanted him elected and he still won with a smaller campaign budget and a twitter account. That's a good thing.
No it's a bad thing. Trump's election proved to me that we need the elites to filter the candidates for us.
I 100 percent disagree with that nonsense. If the DNC wasn't corrupt as ****, the people would have picked Bernie to be the democratic nominee in 2016. The people deserve the choice. Not the elites.
I disagree. As much as many Americans are dumb as a bag of hammers, the process of voting on presidential candidates should be up to we the people.
No. Biden has been pleading with Congress to do its job. If Biden were a dictator, his position would be Article II means he can do anything he wants.
Biden does abuse his power like a dictator. He is an overreaching, power hungry, irresponsible politician, but not a dictator.
While neither was/is a dictator, both go far outside the boundary of their powers granted to them as the POTUS. Sadly we have allowed our Executive Branch to be come far more powerful that it is meant to be, and Congress of all people have not only been complicit in this, but encouraged it.
So you don't think him going over the top of the governors is acting dictator like? I remember when Trump had mentioned opening back up after the covid shutdowns, the left had meltdowns because it was the governors job and not his. Cuomo had popping veins and the msm was on fire. Biden openly states he won't let governors get in his way and all is silent.
Lots of actions can be considered "dictator like." That doesn't mean those taking the actions are dictators. How 'bout DeSantis telling local school boards what they can and can't do?
It's in the Mueller Report. Well, at least most of what he had done up to that point. His attempts to abuse his power to obstruct justice are particularly well documented there. And, of course, let's not forget January 6.
Not yet, in a practical sense, but we will see if the courts allow him to be one. There is no question as to whether Biden is trying to be one though.
