Then the solution must be political, not military in nature.

I'm not so sure Israel won't return fire with ordinance designed specifically for attacking Hezbollah, Including cruise missiles, and naval indirect fire. Iran can't use their navy because there is no practical seaway.
Plus, whoever runs Lebanon over there does not want it blown up by Israel.

This is a map of Palestinian control.

The West Bank tried the peaceful method and in those red parts you see they only very limited freedom in. Those Red spaces are slowly shrinking since the Israelis are self-serving bastards who like to steal the property of others and murder and kidnap anyone who gets in their way.

Now look at the Gaza strip. They went the route of defiance and resistance. Solid red. Israel was forced to vacate stolen land in Gaza.

The Palestinians know the outcome of peaceful interaction with the Israelis. It's not good and your children will still get murdered or kidnapped. Peaceful interaction will result in your land and property being stolen while evangelical "Christians" (Actually Satan-worshippers) cheer them on.

How do you know it's "quite a lot"?
I'm good with letting Israel getting rid of it own garden pests. Like a good neighbor, I'll help any way I can........from my own yard.

If the animals in Gaza would stop electing terrorist groups that attack their neighbors, and then playing the victim, they wouldn't continually be on the receiving end of retaliation by the much stronger adversary.

For nearly 100 years, Palestinians have attempted to rid the region of any Jewish control, and every single time they have lost in their efforts.

They don't get to play victim.

I found this, Roy, and can't SWEAR to it's accuracy, because the source was RT :cynic:... nevertheless here goes:

"Theoretically, everything that the Iranian military-industrial complex has to offer can be transferred to Hezbollah fighters. This includes dozens of types of missiles and drones. Moreover, Tehran aids Hezbollah with hundreds of millions of dollars annually. This means that Hezbollah can offer serious resistance to Israel not only on land, but also at sea and in the air. There is evidence that in recent years Hezbollah has acquired advanced naval military equipment, including Yakhont and C-802 anti-ship cruise missiles, as well as UAV submarines.Hezbollah also possesses ballistic missiles. Experts say that the range of Iranian missiles is 500-to-700 kilometers, which allows them to hit any point on the map in Israel.

Hezbollah is capable of firing 3,000 rockets per day across Israeli territory, and can reach targets at any distance. Experts also claim that, as of 2021, the Lebanese party had about 2,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Considering Iran’s highly successful development of combat drones, there is little doubt that this is indeed true.

My take? If Hezbollah only has some of what's listed in this news article, then it's pretty well-equipped!

Normally, I would agree with you, especially about the Lebanese not wanting to be 'collateral damage' in a fight between Hezbollah and Israel... but... the mind-set of Islamic organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah (and the theocracy that runs Iran, too) is anything BUT 'normal'. In fact, given the 'religious' indoctrination promoted by Islam, it is highly AB-normal. And one thing is crystal clear about Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Islamo-priesthood that runs Iran -- they are all very, VERY religious!

You may find the information at this web page very instructive about exactly what the Islamic holy book called the Quran teaches Muslims:
    https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/violence.aspx

There's no reason to expect "normal", rational behavior from groups like this.

Ilhan Omar, Who Married Her Brother, Shares Fake News To Push Anti-Israel Narrative.

Omar claimed children gassed to death by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad gassed to death in 2013, were Gazan children killed by Israel, this week.

'AIPAC condemned Omar’s spreading of misinformation. “@IlhanMN is spreading dangerous misinformation, blaming Israel for killing kids who were killed by Assad in Syria 10 years ago,” the organization posted on X. “Once again, the Squad doesn’t let the facts get in the way of their anti-Israel narrative.”'

    That could be a problem.
Good thing they aren't at war with Hezbollah.

Hamas has a rough reckoning coming.

    Finally, Some Jewish Space Lasers?

'Israelis with fricken laser beams. Iron Beam is a: “100kW class High Energy Laser Weapon System (HELWS). It’s designed to intercept a wide range of threats such as Rockets, Artillery, and Mortars (RAM) and UAVs.”'

'Israeli defense firm Rafael revealed Iron Beam at the Singapore Airshow in 2014. Its job is to defend at ranges too short for Iron Dome — and for a lot less money, too. Firing a laser beam and an incoming projectile costs just $2,000.'

'Rafael exec Michael Lurie told Defense News back then, “We don’t have a technology problem or a scientific problem anymore… it’s now an engineering problem.”'

'Israel is taking one more step towards fulfilling the prophecy of the great Mel Brooks.'

The war in Gaza is going to be very difficult and Israel will face one booby trap after another. Clearing the tunnels is going to be a nightmare. Hanging over all if it will be concerns that Hezbollah will suddenly open an additional front.

Hamas Clarifies: We Wanted One of Those Wars Where Israel Can't Fight Back

“We believe our intentions have been misunderstood,” said Hamas spokesman Zadiq Mohammed Al-Durkadurka. “We didn’t want to start the kind of war where the other side can retaliate and start shooting back. We want the kind where we do the killing. Only us, please. We are sorry for the confusion. Death to Israel, thank you.” …

'Hamas continued to cry foul as Israel continued its retaliatory onslaught. “Our allies in the U.S. will hear about this!” shouted Al-Durkadurka. “Someone get the Squad on the phone immediately!”'

'Hamas leaders were last heard asking if they were allowed to call a timeout to regroup.'
