Is it better to stand for truth, even if you might lose, or go with a lie?

Do we have honor as people?

The American people are people who stand up for what is right even when the deck is stacked.

Are we still the American people, or do we just give up when the odds are against us?

Doing evil or going along with it, just because you don't think you can beat it, isn't an American idea.

It is the idea of the losers.

You may take our lives, but you will never take our Freedom. We will not lay down to chains of evil men.....

You're extremely vague here as to what you mean by these things. Stand for truth in all cases, i.e. Anne Frank hiding in your basement and the Nazis come and ask if you are hiding any Jews? Or do you mean standing by your convictions (a racist can have strong convictions)?

What I think you are asking is should Americans stand for truth (like good morals) even if it may be hard or uncomfortable to do so. With that I would agree that yes we should as long as it's the right circumstances. The Anne Frank example would be a time you should lie your butt off. But standing for what is right and throwing away political correctness would be a positive thing.
