We really need to clamp down on this. Talk about de-legitimizing the election process. If we start finding out who's responsible for these shenanigans and throwing them in prison to think things over, perhaps we'll see some changes in behavior. Until that happens, this lunacy will continue.

 

States have the authority to let Permanent Residents and illegal immigrants vote in Local and State elections.

Its called the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.

 

1. Why is it that there is no evidence to support large scale voter fraud yet many are sure it exists?

2. Why do those that believe in voter fraud assume that every fraudulent vote cast was cast for the candidate they opposed?

3. If one party is smart enough to pull off voter fraud why can't their opposition?

 

Technically no, you can send an application to register to just about anyone, it's just an application. No felony is committed until A. someone purposely states a falsehood in their application or B. someone successfully commits a fraudulent registration.

Filing an application in itself is not illegal, whether you are a citizen or not. However if you were to purposefully state a falsehood in said application (like stating you area US citizen when you are not) THEN you are committing a federal felony

As Ms. Rosser of the REC seems perfectly aware, there's no point in distributing voter registration forms to recent refugee arrivals, because they can't legally vote in federal elections. If the state of Nebraska allows refugees to vote in local or state elections, that's a different matter, & the state should probably register people in person so that they can explain which elections refugees might be able to vote in legally. That's up the state, though, & not to reporting that's trying to imply that something illegal is going on with the NDP & the REC & refugees.

 

Being registered to vote =/= voting
