It is a reflection on gay parades- to those who want to be offended by them. Why are those the top searches- because those are the images being sought out by those who want to be offended by them.

And I don't know why you think they are my representatives- while I do enjoy the Gay Freedom day parades, they are no more my parades than the Chinese New Parade is.

As far as inconveniencing the public- well frankly I found the "America's Cup" an inconvenience- it made it harder for me to park down at the Bay- but since I happen to live in San Francisco- a city which hosts literally hundreds of big events every year- from the Bay to Breakers to Giants games- I know that I have to deal to events in the City even if I don't agree with them.

 

Especially when they do the exact same things or worse at Spring Break and Mardi Gras.

But yeah- i agree with you- frankly I think much of the opposition against homosexuals are simply people who are offended by the perception that people are having too much fun and really hate that.

Wrong. Gay parades don't offend me, and those pics/people are still a reflection on them.

I'm smart enough to know they aren't representative of all gays, or all gay parades.
But my statements have been pretty clear that they are what many people see or think of.

Gosh... SF must be the most corrupt city on Earth... but it's not. It's affluent, highly gentrified and has a booming tourist industry.

In other words, nobody cares about the "pervert parties" except a handful of moral extremists. Obviously most people ignore these bigots in the real world... except on political forums where they get to indirectly attack the gays with impunity.

Gay people have parades. In some instances some people participating do things that offend some people. This thread was about one of those who want to be offended by something that they never actually observed themselves, and had to look for- and open up links to- in order to be offended. Have you ever been to a gay pride parade? Have you been to every one?

I have pointed out that I have been to 6 or 7 in San Francisco, and 1 in New York- never seen any such thing in any one of those parades.

So far, this to me is like asking if you can have Christianity without signs saying "Death to (*)(*)(*)(*)" simply because I can find photo's of Christians waving flags that say that.

So- do you think that Christianity is all about signs saying "Death to (*)(*)(*)(*)"?

The businesses were only victims of violent threats and harassing phone calls, in a couple cases.
They weren't playing "victim".

The ones doing the threatening were.
The ones crying "foul" were.
The ones taking it to the media were.
