One doesn't have rights until born.

You want to take away women's rights to their own bodies while YOU keep YOUR right to your own body...

No, that would Trump and the Trumpettes...they have no respect for human life.

The immigrants are BORN, they have rights....

That's really a word salad... I'll try to translate and reply... The Pro-Chpoice side DOES "stick up" for women...they defend women's rioght to their own body that everyone else has.

The fetus doesn't get a choice...how could it? does it think and observe the world and then use a cell phone to let it's wishes be known ?

So what? Since when is having sex a crime?

Why? How? What for? Do they do Fetus Mind Reading to see what it wants? Really??

 So WHERE EXACTLY did they say the cells were NOT alive? Where?

They didn't...….but you had to jump on the bumper sticker wagon and yell whatever other Anti-Choicers were yelling...

The newborn is no longer attached to the woman, it is now independent of her and can live without her.

I suggest a book on pregnancy and childbirth and what they entail.

NO, the fetus just doesn't float around inside the woman , unattached , and for no reason.

Because it belongs to the woman it's in and only she decides ….when a woman becomes pregnant she does NOT become property of the government.

So? Looks like you want women punished for having sex....would you want to be punished for having sex?

HILARIOUS! UH, duh, after a person is born they cannot be aborted !!!!

No matter what anyone believes that would be murder......

Despite your claim that people who perform abortions ( doctors) all think we can murder people up until they are two:roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

....MY side is firmly and only for women keeping the rights everyone else has.

The other side isn't , it demand women be treated like cattle.

    I didn't ignore it, I laughed at it :)

    :) Just because you can't doesn't mean you shouldn't have to :)
    .

What IS government's job if it isn't to serve and protect it's citizens?

It is useless to debate abortion, as it has become a political issue rather than a medical one. And today's political environment is as poisoned as I have ever seen it, and I am 72 years of age. Everyone is a member of a tribe (gang?). Republican or Democrat, Conservative or liberal. Fight to the death over every issue. No quarter given. No chance for compromise. Some of this comes from Russian meddling in our culture.; attacks on our very way of life. They work to harden positions beyond reason or civility. And that makes it impossible to change anyone's mind.

Good post but I disagree that this is a medical issue or a "reproductive rights" issue or a "woman's issue".

The attempt to take away women 's right to their own bodies is a rights issue.

Some may try to disguise it by making it about "babies" and fetal rights and all that crap but it is really about everyone's right to their own bodies....

If only pregnant women lose their rights do you think it will stop with them. NO, it won't....and people who think that won't happen are fools.

But , hey, cheer up, we're old and we won't see the worst...that's yet to come! I think the younger generation better start paying attention..

It is NOT the government’s job to do for you what it is your personal responsibility to do for yourself. That includes feeding, housing, and providing you healthcare..

You have posted several times what your opinion is that government NOT do but yet, can't answer the question:

What IS government's job if it isn't to serve and protect it's citizens?

I agree that people should take responsibility for the consequences of their choices. The decision to have sex can result in an unintended pregnancy.

If there is no desire on the part of either party to create a baby by allowing the pregnancy to go to term - the responsible thing to do is terminate the pregnancy.

That's not responsible especially if you know that a pregnancy can occur by doing what you do. It's the same thing as doing what it take to buy a house then burning it down because you no longer want to live there.

Read the Constitution. It's say what the government's role is and nowhere does it say it's job is to provide for those unwilling to provide for themselves.

What does burning down a house have to do with anything ? This is a terrible comparison/ false dichotomy.

A house is a house. A human is a human. In the early stages of pregnancy - there is no human.

The comparison would be burning up the plans to build a house because you decide you do not want - or can not afford the house.

This is a responsible thing to do.

I agree that when two people have sex they know there is a risk of accidental pregnancy. In the case where the couple does not want the pregnancy to result in the creation of a child - the responsible thing to do is to terminate the process by which a child is being created.

It had nothing to do with a house. It has to do with you thinking it’s Ok to kill something you don’t like despite the action that produced it was known to be a possibility.

Yes, never a meeting of the minds.

Dems = we will kill millions of babies

Reps = do not kill any babies

It is not my thinking that is the issue here - it is your messed up thought patterns and inability to make a coherent argument.

You inferred claim that "killing something" is problematic is a bunch of abject nonsense. Newsflash !! humans must kill life in order to survive.

You realize that it is not a "Possibility" but that it is reality that when you eat either a plant or animal that life was killed. If you are against this then stop eating.

It is your thinking. You believe something that hasn’t been born isn’t human. In your case, despite having been born, you’re sub human. The lifeb if an unborn baby is worth more than you. Perhaps you should perform retroactive abortion on yourself and do the world a favor.

I don't believe that something that has not been born is not human. A human sperm is human, a human zygote is human, a human fetus is human. You are confusing the descriptive adjective use of the word "human" (human life, human heart, human cell) with the noun (a human, a living human, a Homo sapiens, a person)

Building a strawman - accusing me of things I did not say or believe - is not an argument for anything. Getting nasty does not help your case either.

Don't get mad at me because you can not come up with a coherent or valid argument that substantiates your claim.

Don’t get mad because your parents raised you as someone that opposes personal responsibility. I bet they did, too.

Do you have anything other than insults, demonization and falsehoods ? You are the one that has been speaking against personal responsibility. Now you are trying to blame me for your issues.

Obviously - in the case where a couple does not want a child and/or has no financial means to support a child and/or that child will be raised in a disfunctional environment - and/or numerous other things - the responsible thing to do is to terminate the pregnancy.

If a couple does not want a child - why would they not terminate a process that might create a child ?

The responsible thing, if you choose to take the action that you know can produce a pregnancy, is to except the responsibility for the results were that was what you had intended or not.

If the person is already pregnant, they can’t terminate the process that created the pregnancy. It’s already occurred.

Of course you can not terminate the process that created the pregnancy. What a silly thing to say.

What you can do is terminate the pregnancy - which the process by which a child might be created. Terminating an accidental pregnancy is one way of taking responsibility for one's actions - actions that led to the that pregnancy.

In the case where the couple do not want a child to be created - the responsible thing do to is to terminate the process that might create a child.

If the woman is pregnant, but child has already been created to think otherwise is silly and nothing more than promoting your responsibility by saying it’s OK to terminate it.

Just because a woman gets pregnant does not mean a child has been created -- assumed premise fallacy.

The child is being created at the moment of conception. That you don’t believe that is your problem. In fact, even though you’ve been born you are considered a person in my opinion

Dems don’t consider it a baby. That’s why, in their simple minds, they have no problem killing it.

A simple mind tends to ignore realities in preference of pre-conceived opinion based on talking point mentality.
