When I examine this invasion closely, I realize Putin is on the side of preserving cultural differences and Ukraine is not. On the surface, it would appear the opposite...It is not.

Zelensky bombed, starved and killed those two breakaway provinces in the east of Ukraine because they didn't act Ukranian enough and now people (like the Chechens who don't act like Ukrainians) are out to kill Zelensky because Zelensky acts too much like the Ukrainian government which forcefully prohibited cultural differences within the Ukraine.

The fascists are within the Ukranian government and Russia, for example, is the fascist hunter.

 

Not lost .. you the one building strawmen - putting made up words in mouth of your opponent - and hopefully you get so bored of this nonsense tactic ..you will stop doing it

It's a question I've seen raised by a number of commentators given Vlad's unhinged accusations of Ukraine being run by drug addicted Nazis. Not that it's unusual for him or his state run media to use propaganda. But his claim is so manifestly untrue one wonders why he would make it. It appears to be the irrational rantings of someone who has become immersed in his own reality. More or less like claiming electoral victory for an election lost by 7M votes.

Being how you can comment on Trump and Putin's mental state yourself, but want to condemn someone else about Biden's mental health reeks of pure hypocrisy..

Joe has dementia and is in cognitive decline.
Russia troops are now in the capitol of Kyiv.

I suppose one might relate this idea, to Putin, beginning to think of himself, as invincible or, more likely, of his opposition as ineffectual. It will be interesting to see how he adapts, now finding that he is not skiing quite so flat a hill, as he had hoped.

He was prepared for moguls, however, with most of his forces, still being held in reserve. The question is, was that always part of the plan?

Russia troops are inside Kyiv as we speak. Biden is the president and let this happen... 120 years in the senate and suppose to be the greatest foreign policy expert to ever live. Though I have not studied these would- be, breakaway Republics, it seems much more likely that any attacks on them, would be akin to any government, trying to put down an insurrection. Since I think it unlikely that everyone in those two cities, wants to revolt, I would strongly doubt there has been any bombing, by Ukraine, certainly not in the cities, themselves. It would be hard to fathom how, if Ukraine had actually been bombing a city for 8 years, it still would be standing.

Another poster here, told me about Putin's using the Chechen forces-- which are still part of Russia, aren't they, so it's not like this is their choosing, as you present it-- he said, to avoid sending home dead Russians, because Putin's war is more unpopular with Russians, than Putin had hoped; they aren't all swallowing the propaganda, as easily as have you.

Now this is just silly. The "Fascist Hunter?" Tell me, how do you distinguish between the autocrat, Putin, & his kleptocratic oligarchs, who have been compared to a criminal mafia, using force, to ensure subservience, and the "fascists...within the Ukranian government?" Is that based on the "bombing" story, or what other allegations are rolling around, in your head?

Swimming in a sea of people spouting and/or believing this stuff, I can see Putin kind of losing touch with what is real & what's not. Like an actor, overly- wrapped, in a role.

I can, though, imagine Putin starring in a hit Russian t.v. series, called "Fascist Hunter!" in which Vlad tools around, on a chopper motorcycle, in a leather vest-- open, of course, and shirtless.

And you see this as something to invade a country, and start a war over?

To threaten the use of nuclear weapons, because of? Your narrative just does not make sense.

Apparently you thought that, it being ostensibly about losing one's grip on reality, was close enough, to jump that gap. So, I offered you, also, some letters to a President, thinking this should be, by the same principle, as related to your post, as yours had been, to the overall thread.
