This guy does not know how to connect with real people. I'm beginning to think he' probably one of those Masonic high priests who is part of some kind of big master plan. He sure ain't one of us!
I don't know, but I seriously doubt that a Mormon would also be a Mason. Maybe I'm wrong, but that doesn't seem to connect.
http://www.bessel.org/reagan.htm According to a press release issued by the D.C. Grand Lodge, the two Scottish Rite Grand Commanders jointly gave President Reagan a Scottish Rite Certificate, and the Imperial Potentate gave him a Shrine certificate. According to The New Age Magazine and The Northern Light Magazine, the Scottish Rite Grand Commanders jointly presented President Reagan with a certificate (a copy of which is shown in The Northern Light Magazine, April 1988 issue, page 12) that "conferred the title of Honorary Scottish Rite Mason," and the Imperial Potentate presented him with a certificate with the designation "Honorary Member of the Imperial Council" of the Shrine. The Northern Light Magazine pointed out that the certificate of honor presented by the Grand Lodge of D.C. "should not be confused with the 'Mason-at-sight' ceremony performed by a number of other Grand Lodges." President Reagan gave Grand Master McMullen, Sovereign Grand Commanders Paul and Kleinknecht, and Imperial Potentate King, "Private Section Initiative Commendations" for the charitable and philanthropic programs of the Masonic organizations. In a February 22, 1988, letter from President Reagan to Grand Commander Kleinknecht (a copy of which was printed in The New Age Magazine, April 1988, inside front cover), the President said he commended "the outstanding charitable work of the Masons as one of our nation's oldest fraternal organizations." He also thanked the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, Grand Commander, for "the framed certificate of membership," and said he was "honored to join the ranks of sixteen former Presidents in their association with Freemasonry." END..So ..are you a Republican ?...or just a beginner ?
The Masons give these certificates to ANY president that will accept it. It means nothing. It does NOT mean they are practicing Mormons.
Well Romney needs bashing lest we end up with him as our nominee. They dumped Dole on us, then McCain, now they want to do it with Romney. I say HELL NO!@!!!
Full of Mormons ?..until 1900 is was not legal for a Mormon to be a Mason... But just for fun..why does it bother you..? You know every Religion has Masons NOW even the big boys.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry George Washington (who was a member of a Virginian lodge) as the first Grand Master, ..OPPS a practicing president... but since you dwell on MORMONS..http://evangelicalsformitt.org/
We take what we get after the Primary. Do we always like it? No, but we take what we get...no matter who it is they will be better for America than Obama.
PrezBO is getting another four years... deal with it. It's probably for the best... the economy is going to tank again, so let the democrats take the blame.
As far I as I can find, he is not a Mason...thank God. To the fact of the matter though is your post is illogical. Just because your perceive Romney (who I am no fan of) as "out of touch" does not constitute him to be a Mason.
I know some Mormons who are Masons. To put in my two cents for clarification is that this honorary title from the Scottish Rite and Shriners doesn't give them any actual membership rights such as attending meetings and voting, and so forth. It is sad to say that the Past Sovereign Grand Commander Kleinknecht passed away this last December. Another point of clarification, there was only 14 Presidents who made it to the 3rd degree (Master Mason). LBJ was initiated a 1st degree (Entered Apprentice) and Clinton was a DeMolay (a Masonic youth group). Can you provide which ones on the First Presidency, Quorum of the 12 Apostles, First and Second Quorums of the Seventy, Council of the Bishopric, and any Stake leadership are Masons? Dates? Lodges? Positions held?
1) Why should I care if he is? and 2) How is it anyone's business if he is? Just like how is it anyone's business what religion he (or any other candidate is)?
Receiving an honorary membership doesn't really make you a Mason in general. Only the Lodges of Craft Masonry may bestow the honor of Master Mason onto someone either through the Grand Master's ability to "make a Mason at sight" (which not every jurisdiction allows this) or by the person going through the initiatory rites of Freemasonry. Outside of Utah and SE Idaho you probably won't find a whole lot of Masons who are Mormon. That's just my two cents though.
This link talks about some of their history with Free Masons and their leader, Joseph SMith. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freemasonry_and_the_Latter_Day_Saint_movement What that link doesn't explain is that they now keep their involvement with Masons hidden. Read the following book which explains it all: Apollyon Rising 2012: The Lost Symbol Found and the Final Mystery of the Great Seal Revealed by Thomas Horn And if you have to ask "Why is that important?" Then again, read that book and others. It IS important!! They are not true Christians and they are not following God. Just the opposite. Need I say more?
Oh no, I'm very familiar with both Masonry and Mormonism as I grew up in a uber Mormon town. I've also read up on how, IMO, Smith took many things from Masonry to include symbolism and applied them during the creation of his church. There is no hidden involvement. If one was a Mason it would be fairly well known. Well, if you wouldn't mind to do my homework, I could, but my days are fairly filled up. I also hold a great deal of skepticism of conspiracies of the Great Seal. Well, I'm off to work. Be back on in a few hours.
The lower level members of the Masons aren't even aware of the master plans of the upper level members as Thomas Horn explains in his books. There was also a t.v. special on this on one of the channels (either Discovery or History channel). (Which is is why I don't hold it against people who do not know better like my mason who does the masonry work around our place). He doesn't have a clue about what's going on. Like a pawn in a chess game. And judging by your avatar, maybe you too are a mason? Take a look also at this link: http://www.inplainsite.org/html/masonic_and_mormon_symbols.html
Yes, Washington was a Mason. And Washington believed in those doctrines which is very troubling. The entire capitol of D.C. was designed around the freemasons' directives. This goes very deep. It was not accident where the capital was chosen to be or the monuments, etc.
