I sure think it is! Grover Norquist, a huge lobbyist who worked with Jack Abramoff, is a great friend of John Boehner and George Bush. Norquist and Abramoff helped found Citizens United (the group at the root of the "corporations are people" Supreme Court rule). They also worked with the heritage foundation and Americans For Prosperity.

AFP advertises a meeting with Grover Norquist on their website: http://www.americansforprosperity.o...rover-norquist-president-americans-tax-reform

    Here is Boehner and Norquist:

    Here's Bush and Abramoff:

    Here they are again!:

    Oh, one more:

This is what is behind the GOP. I don't understand why people don't understand it. All the GOP wants is to abolish taxes and allow corporations to prosper to the max at the expense to small businesses and individuals.

How is a party that helps middle-class and poor Americans including small businesses built on corruption?

The people who are helped by Democrats are obviously not funding them. So, what makes them corrupt?

Unions advocate for the rights of workers. Unions are the reason there is a middle class. Without unions, we would all be paid minimum wage and have no safety regulations.

All a union is is a group of workers who want fair pay and treatment. They establish working contracts collectively, forcing the company have two choices: either support their workers or not produce anything.

    The USA
    42% Conservative
    39% Independent
    19% Whack Job Liberal

....if it wasnt for corruption....The Democrat Party would have never won one election.

And speaking on behalf of all business owners large and small..........NOTHING.....and I mean NOTHING the Democrat Party has ever passed has helped American Businesses in the slightest. Just the opposite.....

So the Unions dont fund the Democrat Party?

To a morally bankrupt person, their opponent will always seem corrupt. Something to consider when you look at yourself in the mirror every morning.

Democrat who didn't spend right along with the Bush Republicans.
Every stinkin' hypocrite Democrat used earmarks and pork.
Joen Boehner however kept his 1990 promise to never take
    an Earmark,and never has.

In the non-political world the behavior and interactions of corporations and unions with policy makers would be called corruption, fraud, conspiricy, bribe, and a host of other criminal activities. But in the political arena, it is called lobbing, and campain contributions.

The whole two party system is corrupt. If you think the DNC is any less corrupt than the GOP, you are delusional.

When you consider election fraud, accepting donations from China, ACORN corruption, and Enron who can it be besides Republicans? Oh, wait a minute.

I recall a picture of Mrs. Carter with Jim Jones of Jonestown Suicide fame. I recall a photo of some Demcrat with John Wayne Gacy, serial killer fame. I remember photos of President Clinton with Al Gore. So much for photos.

I'm not saying there arent ANY corrupt dems, but the GOP (who always stands behind big banks, oil companies, and all other large corporations) is definitely getting money from the groups they're protecting.

Grover Norquist is responsible for beginning the whole "smaller govt. and no taxes helps everyone" lie he crafted with the one and only Ronald Reagan. Obviously tax reductions on the rich is just a corrupt way to pocket more cash. There's no way reducing rich taxes will help the economy, it just keeps more money in rich people's Swiss bank accounts.

They donated to him to try to get influence. Luckily, they have failed. It is great that Obama is standing up against the Keystone Oil Pipeline. He is stopping the oil-junkie republicans from helping corporate again. The republicans' goal is simply to destroy unions and minimum wage, effectively pushing the middle class into poverty and allowing corporations to maximize profits.

Before Reagan took over, one person in the family had to work to make a living for the family. In 1981 when Ronald and Grover Norquist created and enacted the Reagonomic tax cuts, the country started to fall apart. Wealth started to shift rapidly from the people to the rich.

Ever since then, Republicans have pushed for pro-corporate, anti-middle-class deregulation, union-busting policies, massive tax cuts for the rich, corporate tax breaks, irradication of social security and medicare, etc.

When we, the American people, lose our jobs and cant get an income together, nobody comes to bail us out. It makes me think, "since according to the republicans, corporations are people, then I wish I was a corporation. The GOP would bail me out."

Too bad we can't vote them all out. They have been in office for a decade and all of them have got the USA into this mess, and they are still in office pointing fingers at eachother.

The only way to improve the government is to vote them all out. But with their backup plan the Electoral College, they will continue to sucker the idiots who vote for them, as well as elect the president of their choice, not ours.

Oh yes. More proof is that Mitch McConnel lashed out at the idea of having the presidential vote be more based on the popular vote than the electoral vote.

    SOURCE: http://blogs.wsj.com/law/2011/12/09...-national-popular-vote-absurd-dangerous-idea/

It is only because electoral votes got the idiot-Texan George Bush in charge, even though more PEOPLE voted for Gore. It could easily be the same in 2012, which is why the Republicans are afraid.

Because of Republican fear, they are pushing lots of disenfranchising bills like voter-id and same day registration. Voter fraud is extremely uncommon. Poor people vote for Democrats, so why else try to stop them from voting. When they work 2-3 jobs a day to get by, they don't have time to apply for ID's, and they give up on voting.

Why can't we elect our presidents by the actual votes of the people rather than a complex system that makes votes from certain states more powerful than votes from other states. A Californian vote is worth much more than a vote in Wisconsin.

When employees get together, it's called a 'union'. When employers get together, it's called a 'trust' or a 'monopoly'.

    1) Why is one okay with you boys, but the other is not?

    2) What do you call the ABA or the AMA if not 'union'?

    They Failed?

Is that why Solyndra received 500 million dollars?

Is that why Obama gave away the second half of TARP to his buddies at Goldman Sachs, CitiGroup, and Chase?

Is that why Obama granted special safety exemptions to Barack Petroleum?
