Cold-case murders of 4 females brought back to life by new images, DNA tests

(CNN) -- The woman was related to at least two of the three children.
Was she their doting mother? An adoring aunt?
Or, given her relative youth, perhaps a much older sister?
"That leaves you with so many possibilities," says New Hampshire State Police Sgt. Joe Ebert.

Ok, so they need OUR help to do THEIR jobs, what the hell? If I asked for outside help everytime I ran into a problem at work I'd be fired...

I don't mind critizing the government when it's their fault for something, but asking for help in trying to solve a murder investigation seems like a legitmate way to use government powers.

Why? It's their job. If you asked for help in your job, what would happen??? Pay a consulting fee??? Who has money for that? Nobody, yet the state constantly demands such of us...

They're asking for help, not do the job for them. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, were the ones who do the sketch after the police asked them to. Now they're asking people to look at them and see if you can figure out who they are. That seems like a good way for the government to ask for help from the people.

They haven't ID'ed the victims yet and they can't link these people to any missing persons report.

At this point they go out on a limb and hope someone remembers those images as their next-door neighbor and their kids from 30 years ago.

Though, I'm surprised they haven't tested the DNA for skin/hair/eye color. Didn't someone just do something like this recently while reconstructing the appearance of Richard III, an English king, from some remains discovered under a parking lot?

Edit: I think it was actually plague victims of the black death from a mass grave where they DNA'd the hair and eye color, not for Richard III.

Seriously? What a stupid (*)(*)(*)(*)ing thread. I guess when the cops put a sketch on TV we should all just look away. Wouldn't want to do their job for them.

None of which has anything to do with the state demanding us to do their job.

Just imagine being the president having to deal daily with an opposing party full of people like this, people with chips on their shoulders the size of the Washington Monument, sullen and angry over the most absurd of issues. .
