The rest of the anglosphere views you as a dinosaur, because your country is so rooted in its founding documents. Westminster countries for instance generally have an unwritten constitution, or a very loosely interpreted written constitution that doesn't have much impact on everyday governance.

We are very appreciative for the US keeping us safe for so long. At the same time, we do often disagree on particular military actions.

Everyone loves a good yank bash. In part because we spend ~10 hours a day on average watching films with guns and paying games with guns and deep down probably feel a bit of jealously for your freedoms, in part because it's an easy target to punch up on.

At the end of the day, the US is an extremely valuable ally filled with a lot of talented and passionate people. We share a common history if not a common future. A peaceful 70 year period has highlighted the little disagreements we have - but in an increasingly dangerous world there simply is no replacement for the US.

Good people. Maybe put someone in charge who isn't over 75.

Politically speaking, the 'who we are' crowd as it's turned out has many private clogmerates and other unique interests abroad and overseas(if we were really serious and zealous about the foreign collusion, I suspect hundreds of politicians on both sides of the aisle will have their hands caught in the cookie jar.) The thing is, they thought that they could stigimize just Trump with it but it came out during the primaries that more than half of the field on both sides were owned by foreign dark money.

Anyway, these interests and lobbyists and the people who back them back the US military and contractors, and thus how we got our reputation for 'policing the world'. The 'karen' thing(caring about these repressive regimes) is a front for the dark money and the contracts that go on as well as to fool gullible voters into supporting what they want.
