Police investigating incidents involving Colorado justices after Trump removed from state’s ballot

DENVER — Police said Tuesday they are investigating incidents directed at Colorado Supreme Court justices and providing extra patrols around their homes in Denver following the court’s decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot.

The Denver Police Department declined in an email to provide details about its investigations, citing safety and privacy considerations and because they are ongoing.

There are many ways in which Trump has affected the country generally and the body politic specifically. None for the better.

The reflexive response from the Trump camp likely being "they do it too" since no observation can be made without a whataboutism in reply. To which I answer, that's the point. False equivalences aside, the normalization of violence and threats of such is a feature, not a bug, of Trumpery. It's roots going back to the 2016 campaign trail when rally goer's were routinely encouraged to beat up protesters. Lawyers for their defense provided courtesy of RICO Don.
