Isn't it strange that "Civil Rights" isn't a topic members care about? It should be a "hot' topic given the upcoming Presidential Election. Of all the current candidates for the upcoming Presidential Election, who do you see as the biggest supporter of our constitutional civil rights? I see Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and minimally a few others that I won't identify yet. Clearly the Democrats don't view Civil rights as a big issue and the majority of Republicans apparently don't either. More Government, more regulation, more criminal laws seems to be the direction of both parties. Your thoughts please.
Yep, the nature of bureaucracy. IMHO, politicians become politicians because they are control freaks that want to control what people do. The politicians that make it to Washington sell their souls to get there.
Civil Rights have been redefined to mean mandated societal acceptance of whatever minority group claims to be 'disenfranchised.'
I do see the Democratic Party as the champion of Civil Rights especially in relation to Same-Sex Marriage. The Democratic Party is inclusive for all as opposed to THAT OTHER PARTY that won't even mention the word "Gay" in their platform.
