Israel begins studying the effectiveness of a 4th vaccine dose.

OP opinion: If this 4th 'shot' (call it a 'second-booster' ?) works effectively to help anybody, I'm all for it!

More opinion... To me, it's interesting that the little nation of Israel, the "Jewish State" has always been at the forefront of the vaccination effort. And, truthfully, I have never personally known a stupid Jew in my entire life.... Some I've liked, and others I have not -- but none of them has ever been what I would honestly call "stupid".... ;)

Now, then, speaking as an American (non-Jewish person), I've already had two vaccinations and one booster. When and if there's a fourth 'shot' (2nd booster), I'll be right in line for it, too. What say YOU?

I get an annual shot for flu. I wonder what seems funny about getting an annual shot for COVID?

Start treating Covid like seasonal flu is the way I would go now with the current variant (Omicron) and future variants with no mandatory quarantining or home testing.

When the covid shots have a 3 or 4 year track record of working with no ill effects, I will consider them. MRNA is new and I'll trust my antibodies for now.

The first report of the successful use of in vitro transcribed mRNA in animals was published in 1990. However, early promising results did not lead to substantial investment in developing mRNA therapeutics, largely due to concerns associated with mRNA instability, high innate immunogenicity and inefficient in vivo delivery.
