The report said the meeting was chaired by President Ebrahim Raisi, but provided no further details. Israel has repeatedly targeted military officials from Iran, which supports militant groups fighting Israel in Gaza, and along its border with Lebanon. Monday’s strike in Damascus signaled an escalation because it struck an Iranian diplomatic mission. It was not clear if Iran would respond itself, risking a dangerous confrontation with Israel and its ally the United States, or if it would continue to rely on proxies, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia and Yemen’s Houthi rebels. The airstrike in Syria killed Gen. Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who led the elite Quds Force in Lebanon and Syria until 2016, according to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. It also killed Zahedi’s deputy, Gen. That is nothing new, but our open & overwhelming support for Israel might invite some reprisals on US too, and this is just when the "eye of Mordor" had turned onto Russia.
I agree, the UN and other nations need to step up help resolve this conflict if they can. Doing nothing just makes matters worse. I still think Israel needs to move onto the next phase of this campaign and work on the occupation.

It has never stopped since Israel was formed in 1948. I don't think they expect to be left alone. They just need to eliminate those who will not.
And history has also shown that for every Arab person that Israel kills, many more take his place. How did South Africa attain relative peace? Desmond Tutu got both sides together. They aired all their complaints and horror stories. Both sides shared horrid details of atrocities with emotional tears. It's not perfect, but it worked.
Well, THAT's for sure! Today Israel occupies parts of Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. Their expansionism can not possibly be ignored by those countries in the region - or beyond. How can Israel possibly take weapons from America, on the other side of the world, and then be POed that the countries they occupy are receiving local aid?
Israel hasn't achieved any of the objectives they set out for themselves. And, they made clear who they are by rolling out their genocide. Why are we supporting that? Is it important to America that Palestinians get starved to death in a rousing display of what the US stands for? Is Israel's movement into Syria and Lebanon furthering US objectives in the region?
That is opinion, not fact. Palestine has never been a state, only a geographic area. The areas that were lost in the 6 day war aren't occupied. They are part of Israel. Gaza, as an example, was taken from Egypt in the war. It is not Palestine. It is Israel. The states that lost territory to Israel were the aggressors in the war. They attacked Israel. They have not a leg to stand on. More opinion. Israel occupies no countries at all - anywhere. The Israelis are not angry that other countries are giving aid to Gazans. They just need to inspect the shipments for weapons. Why? Because some of them have weapons.
They have been trying to do that since Israel was launched in 1948. The Israelis have always wanted to negotiate for peace. It is the other side that won't. Israel has offered land to the "palestinians" to form their own state. They have been turned down. They want all of Israel. Obviously they can't have that.
LOL they made it clear they are killing every one of the murdering bastards that attacked them without provocation and violated innocent people in inhuman ways. All the whining, crying, calling palastine and actual country means nothing. Those in Gaza were living freely and choose to allow Hamas to run their government. All the lefties can cry they didn't support Hamas all they want, the truth is they did nothing to kick them out of Gaza, they've done nothing to stop the terrorist attacks they commit annually, and now they allow Hamas to use them as human shields so lefties like you will give support to a terroristic group.
