I think all Middle East is one big absurd. But your post has some misleading information: Currently there is not martial law in Israel. It existed in Arab-majority areas in 1948-1966. The murder of Yitzhak Rabin was not perceived positively by the majority of Israeli citizens. In 1947 UN divided Palestine to Jewish and Arab part. Israel was created, but why not Palestinian state? The reasons no Palestinian state was created in 1948 are: 1. Arab rejected UN division of Palestine 2. The Palestinian leadership at the time, led by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini, opposed the UN plan and sought a unified Arab state. 3. Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, and Iraq invaded Israel and lost, leaving Israel with more territories than originally assigned by UN. 4. ‘Palestine’ in the West Bank was occupied by Jordan/Transjordan and ‘Palestine’ in Gaza was occupied by Egypt. On November 29, 2012, the UN General Assembly passed Resolution 67/19, upgrading Palestine's status to that of a "non-member observer state." – but the chapter of the ‘Palestinian State’ in Gaza officially claim its goal is to destroy Israel and from the river to the sea create Muslim Caliphate. It means the UN accepted such noble goal?
