China is potentially the biggest threat to the US. And therefore that pushing Russia and China together as the sanctions are doing is probably the worst idea anyone ever had (except for iron-on tattoos). So why have we been: 1. Enlarging NATO and encroaching on Russia in the years since the Warsaw Pact disbanded. 2. Supplying weapons to Kyiv which could be (and were) used to kill people in Eastern Ukraine; shelling increased on Feb 14th, resulting in Russia moving in on Feb 24th. 3. Supplying vast quantities of weapons to Kyiv, far in excess of anything that could be plausibly considered self-defense but could only be for destruction of the Dombas. It is a derailment of our alleged long-term plans.
The United States has zero business meddling in other countries affairs. Stop playing world-police. Isn’t it amazing how the libs are the supposed “anti-war” party, yet they start poking at a fire just a year into their power? I’m neither pro-Russia nor pro-Ukraine. Let them fight their own damn wars.
Not entirely true. US forces have been tactically moved around all over Europe and the U.S. has also spent billions in aid and even sending weapons to Ukraine. That’s not keeping to ourselves. That’s poking a hornets nest. The United States has essentially been worshipping Ukraine since this all happened.
And? That justifies it? Does Denmark do that? Does Canada do that? Do African countries do that? Does Holland do that? Does France do that? I could play this game all day. Why are we ******* around over there?
How does Russia getting embarrassed on the world stage militarily make China want to jump in bed with them? And to associate weapons to Ukraine as the reason Russia invaded is just crap. This has been planned long ago, ever since their take over of Crimea went so swimmingly in 2014. Because China wants Taiwan and is looking very closely to how the world responds to this situation. If US hands Ukraine to Russia on a silver platter, China will want Taiwan. Should we mind our own business when that happens?
We should always mind our damn business unless absolutely necessary. WW2 was an exception. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghan, etc… All a huge mistake and waste of time and lives. Russia and Ukraine? Yeah, no… we shouldn’t have anything to do with that.
The wars with an explicitly stated purpose were WW2 against the NAZIs and Biden's Ukraine war for the NAZIs. The other wars appear to have been to get money for the weapons makers.
