It's my God given right as an American and resident of Washington State to defend myself up to and including using deadly force pursuant to Washington States stand your ground law rcw: 9A. 16. 110.
Because...if you can hold 26.9 ounces in your hand, and exert approximately 2 3/4 pounds of pressure with your index finger in a come hither motion, you can defend yourself against anyone regardless of what disabilities you may have and how big they may be.
If a right is god given it doesn't matter where you live. You certainly don't need to be citing laws for god given rights. Maybe your "god given" right is actually a government sanctioned right.
I own two guns. I feel no need to carry them around with me, even though it is 100% NOT illegal in my state and county.
I totally believe in individual rights, but from what I've noticed, the mental level of so many people is so low that sometimes it makes me question universal rights and egalitarianism. If you look at things historically, almost all ancient societies had different class levels where it was believed one segment of society could be trusted with more rights than others. Was that just a historical fluke, or was there actual good reason for this?
In other words you are saying that his argument is predicated on the existence of God. Is that correct? Is this just one more example of how rights and morality is inherently tied to the existence of God?
like the CASTE system in India, I think it was so the powerful kept power, and the working class could never rise up to power
Prolly started with good reason, but it always snowballs into slavery because human bature. Thats why we made the idiots equal- its better than the alternative.
sometimes, guns have risks too, sometimes having a gun can put you in bad situations too people just need to understand the risks and benifits I have never owned a gun in my life, but I am glad some do, as that keeps criminals wondering if I have one (I get the benefits, without the risks of owning a gun) if criminals knew 100% that no one owned a gun, we would not be safer
Ironically, making guns illegal is sort of like the very opposite thing from making slavery illegal, in many ways. Are you aware Harriet Tubman kept a small pistol with her while she was leading slaves to freedom on the underground railroad? (By the way, I'm totally okay with putting Harriet Tubman's face on the back of the 5 dollar bill, so long as the picture also shows the gun and bible that she carried with her everywhere)
