I've just been watching a Frontline special on Putin's war crimes.

It's easy to forget just how horrible the atrocities have been, and continue to be. The degree of physical and emotional suffering is incalculable. One woman was shown displaying the bombed out apartment building where her sister, brother-in-law, and their three kids were killed. It's heartbreaking. It's an outrage.

So, in a case like this where there is absolutely no doubt Putin is responsible for these war crimes, is assassination warranted? Not by Russians, by the international community. Like with a drone strike. Is this more of a political or moral dilemma? Should something like this type of extreme intervention be considered? If not why not?
