I've lost all respect for Juan Williams!

Juan Williams, one of the 'designated' Democrat talking heads, who was fired by the Liberal and intolerant NPR, & who was embrace by FNC, has truly turned out to be but a vain ideologue and a disappointment to Moderate viewers. He was one of the 'very' few Democrats to think that Obama won the 1st debate!

And being a self-professed Christian, which shud carry some weight of earnest truthfulness, has consistently spun the obvious problems and disingenuousity of the Democrat party really 'shamelessly!' He can justify his performance anyway he wants, but his disingenuousness ala bias has shown thru.,,,.he is stuck with others in the 60's Civil Rights mindset and cant be truly unbiased in any of his assessments. I have been truly disappointed in him and will not consider him as they try to portray him as a 'good guy' anymore---why does he have two Consecutive adult children?!! Because they see his hypocrisy!!

If they 'believed' in the way he raised them, why did they turn out Conservative? Seems like a straight forward question/statement!

I'm not such an ideologue to write off ppl w/o hearing them....I bought in to his mild demeanor but his true 60's programmed heart has been slowly revealed by such outrageous discussions like Obama won the 1st debate---pure blind ideologue!

I like Williams and I can overlook his bias. I think he truly felt Obama conducted himself as Presidential. Hell, even Obama felt he won the debate.

I don't think most Whites can relate to how Blacks feel and look at having a Black President. I am sure it's not the same as Whites do. Do you understand how this makes Blacks feel to once and for all to have a Black hold the highest office in the land, after being slaves and later being denied the basic freedoms Whites enjoyed, like eating in a restaurant, drinking out of the same water fountain, going to the same schools? Riding anywhere on the bus. We have no idea of how that played on them, or we would have never treated them that way. Does that make them bias? I'm sure it does to an extent. I'm sure some like Williams doesn't even see that bias. I think he honestly thought Obama won that debate. I'm sure not going to condemn him for it, because I can understand it.

I understood the 1st Black President thing..but having had Black best friends (my catcher in Little League) as a Mil dependent, served with Blacks in the military, had a Black roommate who double-dated White girls w/me in Germany, and having dated a Black dancer while in college, there comes a point where playing the race card is just cheap shotting this country and an excuse for not fitting in and making it, as the GI bills does also provide a path to education and the middle class American dream.

The opportunities are out there for 'everyone,' regardless of skin color or economic class----but it takes the 'want to' ---not a pass--, to take advantage of them..

The opportunities are out there. While I have had a lot of contact with Blacks too, in service and work, I still don't think we can truly look at things the same way they do. I can understand why Williams felt Obama won that first debate. He felt he got his points across and got back at Romney for his change in positions and done it by coming off Presidential and not getting in a shouting match with Romney. Obama was shocked when told he lost the debate. He thought he'd won it strait out. So why is it so shocking to think that Williams thought so too?

    Hold on a minute though.
Juan's "crazy-partisanness" is dependent upon what venue he is in.
When he hosts the O'Reilly show, he is quite fair. When he is on a panel with a conservative, he can be ignorantly partisan. There are other examples too, where he is fair or over-partisan. I just noticed that a few days ago.

But how about Alan Colmes? Now THAT guy is remarkable.

I think people fail to realize that the Left VERY MUCH gets their message out on Fox. Those liberal talking heads who appear all the time on Fox, are saying EXACTLY (word for word, often :)), the same things said by Plouffe, Obama, Axelrod, Deb Wasserman Sch., Chris Mathews, all of those.

So Fox-haters can't legitimately say that Fox doesn't present both sides.

Unfortunately, your grace has out-weighed the reality of the event....but if it makes you feel good, then so be it... will get you a feather in your cap for 'intentions,' but not for actuality.

But I am a former respecter of his....

Why as a Liberal, his adult children turned out to be Conservatives; whereas I, being a Con have 3 adult Con Children--I believe that it is that I have walked my talk and they saw it!

Bottom line is that he is a Liberal stuck in the 60's and makes his $$$ being a Democratic voice of the Left on FNC....short & sweet!

"Disingenousness" is the forte of Fox, so he fits right in.

You have to be head over heels in the tank for Obama to think he won that first debate. Maybe that's why he got fired from NPR, aside from the straw that broke the camel's back. Even NPR has certain standards of journalistic integrity.

No offense......but all this you wrote above, sounds like it was written by somebody who doesn't hang around black people that much.

I'm white, and I'm the minority where I work. There are 2 white males, 1 white female, 1 latino male, 1 asian female, and 3 african american females in my section of cubicles. That is pretty much standard company wide, except in the borad rooms and upper management.

The African American people I know are as diverse as European Americans. Hardly any of them are the stereotypical black folks you're describing. None of them experienced the kind of racial oppression southern blacks faced, and I learned a long time ago not to assume anything about any of them.

95% of black people voted for Obama and nearly as many will vote for him again. With all due respect to your well intended theory that blacks aren't monolythic, you're wrong. No white president has ever gotten that much support just because of his race.

This is also the first time we've had a black president.

Look, I'm not saying that it's the most logical thing to do, but if we had only black presidents since the beginning, and one white guy finally ended up in office, then I'm pretty sure whites would strongly defend him.

Also, I realize that Obama is technically only half-black, but he is simply black for appearance, so to speak.
