How many have even heard of this serial killer? Amazing how it took 126 years to find out he was one of Scotland Yard's suspects who ended up in the Looney Bin. Read story @ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
thought this was just another write a book make a buck scam, but no it appears legit...there will be a lot of investigation from the police to ensure the evidence wasn't manufactured as the investigators stand to make a lot of money from book and potential movie rights... if true very cool science... - - - Updated - - - thought this was just another write a book make a buck scam, but no it appears legit...there will be a lot of investigation from the police to ensure the evidence wasn't manufactured as the investigators stand to make a lot of money from book and potential movie rights... if true very cool science...
Read this a while back. Here is my problem. DNA found on a shawl of a known prostitute in an era when baths, and washing clothes was few and far between. What is suspect is that only one persons DNA was found on a shawl that most likely had been on numerous surfaces and in contact with just as many different johns on a daily basis. Very odd and convenient.
Other evidence links Kosminski. He'd rather definitely be convicted in a court of law today. The Ripper only caught attention because he tore his victims up so, particularly the last one, who was young and pretty as well. The mind boggling part is how much this must have been going on and still is. The Ripper was pretty much a piker compared to most serial murderers of prostitutes, yet another "benefit" of "morals" laws forbidding women from selling a perfectly legitimate service in a safe and protected manner.
Speculation so slim they couldn't charge him, and there were also 5 other hard suspects also based on speculation. In any case a defense lawyer would have a field day with that DNA evidence. What was the evidence? Sperm found on or near a known prostitute? Really? He could have just as well been her last customer before the real Jack showed up. And why did the murder stop? 2 more years before he was committed and during that time he was under observation. Surly the urge to kill again would have been too much for him to contain? You might be right, he may have done it, but there isn't any real evidence other than sperm that means he knew the woman in an area he and her were both from. Jack is gone and the murders are over, for that wacko anyway. Definitely an example of how prohibition makes matters worse, and I agree it should be a legal service. No different than a promiscuous woman screwing guy after guy, during the week for drinks or dinner.
