    I suppose the story of the Olmec Stone Heads is one that little people know of, but it is one of the studies under investigation. A prominent name in the study was Ivan van Sertima, who made the link towards African civilizations and the Mesoamerican culture predating Christopher Columbus. His studies have been largely attacked as being fallacious. One of the points was that the Olmec Stone Heads found along he east coast of Mexico were not depictions of African's, but Jaguars. So...you be the judge. Do the statues you see resemble African people or jaguars?
