In most places. Not everywhere. For instance the majority of people who inhabit America today do not look like the majority who inhabited America 2,000 years ago or even 500 years ago. The Middle East has not seen much population replacement since the 1st century although there have been invasions and immigrations in various places. I don't believe that the people of the Middle East were Black at any other time than when the first humans migrated out of Africa. By the time of Jesus (1st century) people of the Middle East were most likely tan/swarthy for thousands of years. I say most likely because no one alive today truly knows for certain. There were no photos or video from that time period, only paintings which can give us some clue of what they looked like.

I have. I am Bible literate. Exodus is the second book of the Old Testament which tells the story of Moses leading the Hebrew people out of slavery in Egypt in defiance of an oppressive (but curiously unnamed) Pharaoh. He accomplished this through divine intervention by God who chose Moses as his Prophet who punished the Egyptians with a series of plagues which eventually convinced the Pharaoh to let Moses' people go, only to set a trap to slaughter them which was thwarted when Moses parted the Red Sea and led his people to the Promised Land (modern Israel).

There's no archeological evidence for the story that I know of.

Yes, there were many invasions in the region and I have debated White racists at length on the population history of Egypt (who I believe to be dark-skinned Africans). Israel however I'm not so sure about. I think they were tan-skinned. Even in the Ancient Egyptians' art they depict travelers from the Middle East as yellow-skinned. If you have some evidence that the ancient Israelites of the 1st century were dark-skinned go ahead and share.

 

There is no evidence for the Exodus.. and at the time Sinai was Egyptian.. Canaanite towns in Sinai paid tribute to the Pharaoh and were guarded by Egyptian garrisons.

Are you speaking of the conflict in Darfur?? In Darfur everyone is black and Muslim. The issues driving that conflict are water and pasture.

Whether the story in the exodus is real or not is moot at this point. The purpose of its inclusion here is to establish documented accounts of the phenomenon of population dispersal (change) from a local and ancient source.

The situation in palestine is well documented in this very forum (ME sub forum) and will be attested to by your [unwanted or not] compatriot/cheerleader here, whereby jewish occupation has resulted in annexation of land and left the palestinians in a tiny quarter in gaza, cleansing them to a major degree from the general jewish populace. Resulting in a predominantly european ethnic state known as Israel. It wasnt too long ago that it was predominantly Arab majority. that is population dispersal which is a shift in demographics in little under 100 years!! imagine the change over 3,000 years.

The situation in Sudan is a an example of Nuba dispersion from Northern Sudan by way of ethnic cleansing in the form of massacre, pillage and slavery.

Whether or not ihave "evidence" to suggest that Israel was a black civilization is not something im happy to discuss in the present climate on THIS board. Currently it is infested with...how can iput this...the undesirable types but you never know.
