Jettison all intellectual property laws

    Aren't copyright laws seperate than patent laws?

    It matters how you define it. The term is often used for literally all of that crap depending on location. Copyrights, patents, etc. Copyrights are often considered and intellectual property right. So are patents, Trademarks, Industrial Design and Trade secrets. This depends where you live.
