On Adam Schiff: "I've never seen a guy say things that aren't true with such conviction." I have a feeling the defense will, justifiably so, rip Schiff to shreds. He should be indicted for lying about the evidence and omitting exculpatory evidence. A couple of related thoughts on what has transpired in the course of the impeachment process: 1. Tort reform is absolutely necessary. The slander we've observed should be punished and victims compensated. 2. Equal protection of the laws needs to be restored. Congressmen and Senators get away with murder while regular folks are put away for life for crimes lawmakers commit daily.
If you look up ambulance chaser in the dictionary, when you get to the page there's a picture of Adam Schiff. He can also be found under shyster.
Schiff put on a good performance but it was totally based on far stretched inferences, innuendo, assumptions.. etc... It was entertainment but came across as just that - entertainment, not really serious. It was all about 'Yes, he said that, but he meant this' when alluding to all parties involved, from Trump, witnesses to president of Ukraine. Basically, he was trying to convince us that in the absence of hard facts we should just 'read between the lines' and that we should just put the puzzle together, and that only then we would see the truth. The problem is it's like a puzzle with 1,000 parts that don't fit... but he's asking us to take a pair of scissors and start cutting to makes things fit. Today, the defense pretty much poked so many holes in the dems' arguments. I mean, unlike the dems, the defense team presented hard facts, one after the other and pointed out a tremendous amount of inconsistencies in the dem's arguments and most damaging all the exculpatory evidence the dems refused to present, as if it didn't exist. They destroyed all notion that the president refuse to work with the house when it was the house that impeached at a record speed and kept the WH locked out until very last moment, then demanded witnesses and refused to do the work necessary to get them. The defense team laid out what really happened in the house - an abomination, and how totally unprecedented the whole thing was compared to previous impeachments. The defense also went over many hard facts about how Trump was concerned with corruption around the world and provided evidence, of even dems' witnesses admitting it. Remember the dems' core argument is that Trump didn't care about corruption. They then used the same witnesses dems relied on and turned their words against the dems' arguments, go figure. They, of course, also used Schiff's own words to discredit him. The defense didn't need to repeat the same things 100 times as the dems did, they provided 10 times more facts, in 1/10th of the time the dems had and they are not even done yet...
They relied heavily on Sondland who said earlier that Trump told him he wanted nothing. Sondland's Hotels were threatened by Democrat Earl Blumenauer in an egregious case of witness tampering that should be adjudicated. Vindman did his job of giving Trump talking points which Trump ignored. We didn't elect Vindman. Otherwise, there was nothing behind the impeachment but the lack of a Democrat who could beat Trump, which makes this shindig a case of campaign financing fraud.
