The Ohio Republican highlighted Biden's business dealings with Burisma, a company in Ukraine, and noted that the DOJ had allowed the statute of limitations to lapse on any potential tax crimes Biden may have committed during that time. Garland refused to answer Jordan's questions directly, instead deflecting to future statements by Special Counsel David Weiss.

Jordan recited the facts leading up to the case, that Biden had taken a lucrative position at Burisma he was not qualified for, and that Burisma executives had told him they were "under pressure." He then asserted that President Biden, then Vice President, moved to get a prosecutor looking into the company fired.

Very interesting back and forth today. A very partisan discussion, with one side grilling the AG and the other side praising him. Not sure how much we learned either way!

Democrat fascism needs to be fought. It's astounding how much they get away with.

Yes, for all of Mitch McConnell's faults, that's one good thing he did. Garland looks like grandfatherly type, but he's really totally dishonest political operative who has morphed into the Biden Crime Family mouthpiece.

And no one was fired over it. It was prosecutor neglect to allow those charges lapse under a statute of limitations, incompetence and the attorney's that allowed it should all be FIRED. Plain and simple.

Unless of course they were directed to do so by someone higher up. Garland refusing to give and explanation and trying to hide behind the "internal deliberation" claim points exactly to that and he needs to be held responsible and impeached and then he can defend himself over the charge.

We have two whistleblowers who have testified that Weiss stated that he didnt have the authority to decide to prosecute. That his authority was limited to Delaware.

When Garland decides what laws are applied to which people, I’d say he probably has more power than the Supreme Court. Garland could even have the justices arrested for being in DC on 1/6.

I think they should impeach everyone in the Biden admin. They’re not doing anything else anyway.

He started the hearing by lying twice.... I imagine it only went downhill from there

    SNIP
“Everything they asked him to do, he did. And then what’s the Justice Department do? August 8, last year, they raid President Trump’s home,” Jordan said. (LIE!)

“He wasn’t qualified to be on the board of Burisma. Not my words, his words,” Jordan said. “He said he got on the board because of his last name.” (LIE!)

Weis started his investigation into Hunter's criminal activities in 2018. Garland became AG in 2021. The investigating had been going on for almost 3 years. Isn't it standard operating procedure for a new boss to inquire about ongoing investigations in his department? Garland testified he never inquired about Hunter's investigation. Either Garland is lying or he is totally incompetent. Did Garland "promise" the Senate he would not get involved with Hunter's case before he became the AG or was it the same day he became the AG before he even inquired about the investigation?

And Garland says it wasn't, and he says it wasn't. So who let the statute of limitations run out and why remains the question.

Was he working there when he appointed Weiss the Special Prosecutor in violation of the standards to do so?

There is no potential charges on Burisma holding with Hunter Biden, just political fantasy by Jordan. Most of what happened with Burisma was before Hunter Biden joined the board of directors, not during or after. This is why you are seeing Jordan is not a very good attorney and why he failed the bar exam in the first place. Instead, he became an athletic assistant coach/AD for Ohio State U and loved white buttcheeks.

So what alleged crimes did Hunter Biden commit when he joined Burisma? List them specifically even though Jordan does not know either, specifically.

There was some Burisma money in there. That could be part of it. But, it seems strange that the DoJ doesn't care someone was writing off the travel and sex expenses with prostitutes, or the human sex trafficking that occurred. This is all documented. They have the evidence. They refused to charge. It's odd.

Yeah... dang good question... perhaps modify that to say alleged US crimes, since MAGA will start listed alleged crimes in Ukrainian law...

Other than perhaps not paying taxes on his income at the proper time, which is known...
