interesting, I want to know who the Trump DOJ was monitoring and who that person they were monitoring called in Congress - be nice to hear the recording
We need to get to the bottom of the spying, by Big Gov and Big Business. Cox Media Promoted to Advertisers That It Is Eavesdropping on Private Conversations Via Cell Phone Microphones. Republicans have defended business for years,'the 21st century takeover of corporate America by executives pushing a hard-left agenda has been disheartening. Even more disheartening is that the ethical behaviors and codes of conduct that both the right and the left once demanded of corporations have been tossed aside. In today’s business climate, so long as a corporation is conspicuously advocating for cultural Marxism, its managers and executives feel empowered to abandon any pretext of ethical behavior.' 'Cox Media Group (“CMG”) was recently exposed for promoting its ability to eavesdrop on private conversations via the microphones on cell phones and smart devices, and to use that information to sell targeted advertising. Specifically, CMG boasted of its ability to engage in “Active Listening” on behalf of advertisers, so that "the whispers of consumers become a tool for you to target." It made this claim in a since-deleted post at its CMG Global Solutions website. CMG’s claim that it could “actively listen” in this way disputes the tech industry’s repeated assertions that our phones and devices are not monitoring our personal conversations.' 'Cox Media Group is a subsidiary of the Cox Enterprises empire, which includes Cox Cable, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Cox Automotive (Auto Trader, Kelley Blue Book) and dozens of TV and radio stations. In boasting to potential advertisers about its ability to eavesdrop on private conversations, Cox Media has engaged in one of two egregious ethical behaviors. It either: 1) Lied to advertisers about its ability to eavesdrop on targeted consumers, or 2) Eavesdropped on consumers without consent.' 'Being a left-wing media operation, Cox did what you would expect it to do when caught in unethical behavior - it simply deleted the information it had previously published and went into denial mode. Several non-Cox publications have documented this story. “Are Marketers Using Smartphones to Listen to Your Conversations to Target Ads? Yes, Cox Media Group Says in Materials Deleted From Its Website” [Variety – 12/15/2023]' I hope Congress doesn't stop with the DOJ.
And you know damn good and well that the government has the same ability. I've never been a drug dealer but if I was I would insist that we do business outdoors and all cell phones be left somewhere else.
Don't need to leave them somewhere else. Just take the battery out 15-20 minutes prior to arriving at the meeting location. Then after the meeting insert them back in after you left the area and 15-20 minutes has gone by again.
Oh my mere mortals.... we have been programmed to think the simplest of solutions when the actual solutions are far more complex.... "We the people" have been paying the bill for one of the most vast data collection facilities in the world.. the Utah Data Center. they have this post and all our posts stored away as we speak.... they have each and every one of our cell phone communications... if you think your gmail you sent yesterday about your cat dying is private, think again, they grab it as you send it.. Do you ever wonder why some of the most strangest decisions by our top officials have come about when the logical decision is not.... what if you had an uncle whispering in your ear that some of your secrets might get out if your thinking does not change.... just a "conspiracy theory" I know, but we all have opinions and that one is mine for sure... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center
The chairman accused the DOJ of failing to comply fully with his prior requests on the topic. So...why isn't Jeff Sessions being subpoenaed to sort this out? Garland is irrelevant to 2017.
Garland is very relevant.... It is a document request... How is Jeff Sessions going to get the documents now? It may not surprise you, but if those records have disappeared like we seen before.... it needs to be looked into...
Are you actually saying Sessions has the documents being requested????... Just because Joe Biden kept government documents in his garage for 7 years does not mean everyone can get away with it...
No, I'm telling you that Merrick Garland isn't a mind reader. The U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) had served legal process on Google in 2017 for records of a Google Voice telephone number that connected to his family’s telephones. Ask Sessions. Unless it happened before Feb. 9th. Then they'll have to ask Yates...or Boente. Trump had eight AG's. Six weren't confirmed and served as acting. Imagine that.
So Sessions allowed the DOJ to spy on a congressional aide through their personal smart device while the Trump Admin were in charge and Garland is reportedly blocking Gym, the failed insurrectionist, to protect WHO exactly? Seems convoluted to me but this is the first I've heard of this "abuse" of power. Ole' Joe is a freakin' !!magician!! if he gets linked to this somehow .
Interesting comment... First of all this highlights why Trump will be a much better president this time around. The idealism he naively had that the players would fall in line behind the incumbent for the good of the country was false. This is not a high school civics class. The DoJ was continuing their efforts to cooperate with the Clinton campaigns efforts to undermine Trump. Your comment highlights the reason that the players from 2016 (2015 actually) should face an extended statute of limitation to face justice for their part in their own version of insurrection, starting with James Comey. Why? Because their coup was successful at great injury to America, and if not punished severely will happen again and again.
Yes. The dirtbags of the FBI for sure. Remember when 'someone leaked' the conversation between Kevin McCarthy and Lying Liz Cheney? Many wondered if neither of them leaked it, rather the Dirtbags of the FBI eavesdropped on them through their cell phones and then the rat bastards illegally leaked it, like they are known to do.
I agree, release the data collected and the recordings that occurred under the Trump admin, by the Trump DOJ show us the name on the Google voice account that was being used and the name of the cell phone it was used on
Sessions was AG in 2017, not Garland. Any issue with the DOJ from 2017 needs to be directed at Sessions.
