He now only faces a traffic ticket. Next Snip: Ronnie Anderson, an African-American man charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, poses for a photo in front of a confederate statue on the lawn of the East Feliciana Parish Courthouse, where he is facing the charge, in Clinton, La. Why did the Judge throw out the firearm charges with this convicted felon? It was not hard to prove that at the time he was arrested he was carrying. Does this demonstrate that Judges willfully put citizens at risk over social issues or bow to political pressure? My point is we have laws on the books that was not enforced when it comes to gun crime. This citizen Mr Anderson walked away with a traffic ticket.
What do you think we are, psychic? I’m no expert but I can think of a few viable possibilities though; Two people in the car with the gun and there was insufficient evidence to prove it was his? Illegal search or some other procedural technicality? Prosecution failing to submit all of the necessary paperwork on time and/or correctly? He was misreported as being a felon? He is a felon but for some reason (legitimate or in error), he isn’t actually restricted from whatever he was charged for? He was framed? He was misidentified? The firearms charge was in error?
