Beef #1: The forum registration form asks me to name a branch of the US military other than the Navy. So I enter, figuring it is a trick question for a political forum, "The US Constitution doesn't authorize any other military branch other than the Navy, unless of course Congress were to raise an Army." I click the register button and am told my answer was wrong and had to enter something else! Beef #2: How is it possible that nobody else has the username SavageNation? Are there no Savage Conservatives in this forum? I guess I will be the only one opposing both liberals and conservatives!
Hello and welcome to the PF I will send a link to one of our Tech Administrators as I don't know the answer to your registration question. Enjoy the site.
Pic of your car is sweet. No need for an Administrator - My response to the question was my typical over analysis of everything.
There are plenty of conservatives here that "blast" the new breed and note the problems they have created....while also opposing the idiocy of unchecked Liberal thought. One of the issues would be that we are considered *******s by the new GOP, and considered dinosaurs by the rabid Dems. I wish you luck here...you might feel quite alone.
Sounds like you're coming to the forum with a good amount of education and critical thinking skill. Run! Run while you can! Before they dumb you down to their level..
If you are referring to me personally, I am a Savage conservative and not Rebumblican err, Republican. Calling someone a Republican is almost an insult to their intelligence in my opinion because members of the Republican Party have so many different political positions, how could you possibly support them as a party? Doing so pretty much means you don't have any beliefs. Their leadership is in shambles as the Demoncats, err Democrats boss them around and continually make them look silly. You contribute to the RNC election fund and your money could wind up in helping John McCain get re-elected. Yikes! The Democrat party is clearly worse and couldn't care less about the Constitution but at least they as a whole have the same political positions (except for maybe gun control where they disagree amongst themselves) so with them you know what you are voting for. If you are not referring to me I apologize for the above and would say that liberals would disagree with you!! BTW, the last line of your post (what do you call that anyway? - a signature line?) is excellent. I haven't seen anyone link those two topics together like that. Nice.
I'm curious about your savage nation outlook. I've never heard of it before, but anything that looks beyond the two parties and is in no way red or pinko is bound to pique my interest.
While I wish I was smart enough to come up with my positions myself, I can only take credit for embracing them after hearing them from others. The Savage Nation is a syndicated talk radio show hosted by Dr. Michael Savage. I've been listening to him for years. All throughout the Bush years while Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity were worshiping the ground George Bush walked on, Savage was continually politically hammering Bush. And as is usually the case, history has shown Dr. Savage to be right. His website is http://www.michaelsavage.wnd.com/ (am I allowed to link to other sites? - If not I apologize) but the website is nowhere near as good as listening to him on the radio. If you can't find him on one of your local A.M. stations then you can stream him online (he is the most streamed radio talk show), just Google it and you will find him. Podcasts are out there as well. The other thing I do is read a lot of editorials from the syndicated (political) columnists. The insight they have is often incredible. They analyze the news instead of just reporting it. I love Walter E. Williams especially on economics and racial issues (there is none better), Pat Buchanan on foreign policy and many others. I get my editorials from http://www.editorialwatch.com/ because they post editorials from both conservatives and liberals as long as they are insightful.
