Okay, here's the meat of the article:

My assessment is that, no, there will be no effective equivalent of the Tea Party movement coming to be inside the Democratic Party and that's because the Left doesn't address issues head on the way in which Right of Center people tend to address them. The Left automatically goes for Alinski and Communist Party and Socialistic mecahanisms style commando tactics in order to long term bend streams of power and gradually poison the well drop by drop by drop until finally after decades of patient work they are ready at last to blast forward and take over control. So since that is generic leadership training Left of Center for ALL of their activist types, that's the sort of thing that any unhappy segments within the Dem Party organization will instinctively begin doing.

The other problem being that the Tea Party was not and still isn't extreme Right anything in nature. All it wanted from the very beginning was to get politicians Left and Right to stop talking about economic and fiscal responsibility and DO something about it. As for things that ONLY the Right seems to care about, there again there was no extremism involved. All they wanted to see happen was for all those supposedly Small Government GOP leaders to stop merely talking about shrinking government and actually start doing something about it. That is hardly extremist in nature.

The Tea Party has never been effective at ANYTHING but halting progress in Government. The Dems are bad enough without becoming as impotent as the Republicans have been forced into. It is also quite clear that the TP is fading into nothingness.

Democrats have been acting like the "Tea Party of the Left" for decades. How is this of any significance?

The answer is no, the left cannot launch its own Tea Party. I know they're extremely jealous that we were able to pull it off, but we're made up of independent, principled thinkers and they're mostly mind-numbed robots towing the party line at all costs. They're fragmented into so many factions of special interests. Any one of those special interests on its own would garner no critical mass of support.
