KELLY: "There is nothing more that can be said. God help us."

“John Kelly, the longest-serving White House chief of staff for Donald Trump, offered his harshest criticism yet of the former president, CNN reports.

Said Kelly: “What can I add that has not already been said? A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”

He added: “A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women,” Kelly continued. “A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about. A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action. A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.”

He concluded: “There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”

No fan of Kelly here. And it’s taken him long enough to reach his conclusion. But he does sum up the trash bag that is The Stain very concisely.

Would this be a good time to quote the guy currently in office because I know the left just loves to talk about people who are not the topic of the thread. He’s made some real memorable comments about race and LGBers.

Trump, like a lot of other people, speaks impulsively and has said things I wish he didn’t say and I’m sure he regrets, so I’m sure the ever loving and always tolerant left who are open to diverse thoughts can put this in the past.

So what turned Kelly into a disgruntled former employee?

 

I’m sure he regrets repeatedly ******** all over deceased vets. Just like he regrets repeatedly cheating on his wives.

Why are republicans so hopelessly dedicated to this man?

 

TRAITOR tRump. His lies, his crimes, his treachery all are repugnant to ANY Constitution loving, Government by the People loving ... anyone that truly loves THESE UNTIED STATES. God save us from Donald Judas tRump.

 

I challenge you, to find quotes of Trump saying he regrets any of his comments as President, or anything he has ever done (other than, perhaps, regretting that he had hired someone, who didn't comply with his every wish).

As Trump is the man who feels that being the President means "never having to say you're sorry," there is no basis for putting his former (and ongoing) comments, "in the past."

Unlike every other politician, Trump has not only never expressed the sentiment of "regret"-- of which I strongly suspect he has a limited understanding, at best-- but he typically doubles down on his mistakes, and "regrettable" words.

I was a bit fascinated with Trump back in 2015 until he said this about John McCain. “He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay?” dissing or putting down our POW's, that was too much for me to take.

I immediately became an anti-Trumper. I looked up to and respected John McCain, both as a navy pilot, a POW and as a senator. I voted for him in 2008. But Trump didn’t stop there, he went on after McCain died. “We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral,”

And then Trump became furious when he saw flags lowered to half-staff in honor of McCain saying, “What the **** are we doing that for? McCain was a ****ing loser.”

Not only this, but Trump constant name calling and throwing of temper tantrums like a 4 year old spoiled brat along with this 3rd grade schoolyard bullying tactics leads me to believe his elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top. That this 77 year old, his mind, mentally is still that of an elementary school kid, the classroom bully whose parent forgot to teach him any manners.

 

Oh please....

You love him even more when he wishes for the death (or arrest) of people who criticize him.

He joins the hundreds of people who worked for President Trump and who all call him crazy.

How many say that about Biden? Obama ?

 

Funny, how so many people who have worked with Trump turn into "disgruntled employees".

 

You're begging the question, since it has not been established that John Kelly is a "disgruntled former employee." In fact, you would say this or something analogous about anybody who criticized Dear Leader. All you do is defend him.

You should not jump to personally attacking those who speak out against Dear Leader. You should drop the defensiveness and accept Trump for what he is rather than keep trying to circle the wagons around him. Stop embracing his lies and vileness. Stop defending a wannabe dictator who has brought and continues to bring harm to this country just to help himself.

Let's see the entire quote. He says it is his gut reaction. And it was said in 1973. I'm sure people can change in the span of 50 years. Don't rightists always say the left hates the military? I think military families would take offense to their fallen family members being called losers.
