Kirk Cameron: Public schools grooming kids with critical race theory, 'sexual chaos,' and 'racial co

Award-winning actor Kirk Cameronblasted America's public schools for becoming breeding grounds for far-left progressive agendas, including critical race theory, Nikole Hannah-Jones' 1619 Project, and gender ideology.

"The problem is that public schoolsystems have become so bad. It's sad to say they're doing more for grooming, for sexual chaos and the progressive left than any real educating about the things that most of us want to teach our kids," he told Fox News Digital. The solution to the problem, he said, was for parents to take the lead on their children's education and teach them at home. To make the case, the award-winning actor referenced his upcoming movie, "The Homeschool Awakening."

The movie follows the journey of about 17 homeschooling families who respond to misconceptions and stereotypes. In the film, Cameron also discusses his journey to homeschool his six children with his wife, Chelsea…
…If you see that your children went down a road and you can't pull them back, [asking] how did they lose their faith?How did they get pulled into an ideology that undermines everything that is going to lead to their success?"

And so if we're willing to put in some extra effort and time now, we will be so glad that we did and will lift our hands in gratitude and say, ‘Thank you that I woke up and I saw the light.’ And millions of parents are."

Home schooling is a well tested option for parents whose children are in bad schools. It is what parents should consider when school boards refuse to listen to the concerns of parents. Critical race theory, 1619 propaganda, gender confusion, use of bathrooms, girls sports teams, all are present in too many schools. Home schooling is a great alternative.

 

Well designed Charter schools and some private schools, particularly religious ones that adhere to the faith of the church that operates them are also alternatives. But if one can’t get their kids into the perfect charter school or afford the best of private ones, then by all means, home schooling is a great option. The pandemic opened parents eyes to what had been and is going on in public schools. Those who adjusted to home schooling during the pandemic should certainly stay with it.

 

Kirk Cameron is an ignorant God-mocking bigot.

 

Abolish the Dept of Ed. Configure funding so it follows the student instead of the system. That'll bring competition into the equation and cripple the corrupt teachers unions.

 

I think many people would love to home school their kids if they had the option but many families have both parents working so it isn’t possible

Kirk Cameron is a great American and a good Christian. He plays a great role in preserving American families and the role of a good father in them. He’s right about our values being subverted in many public schools and in finding an alternative to them.

 

Home schooling coops are a great option where several families kids work together with the parent(s) who does stay home or work from home. In the movie Gods not dead: we the people that’s the arrangement that is attacked by government in the movie. Some churches without their private school system operate such co ops of home schooling kids and provide for extra socialization that single family home schools may not have. There are home school groups that organize field trips, sports, and even proms for groups of home school students at a setting.

It’s a growing alternative to public school when they won’t listen to parents and home schooled kids do better on college entrance exams than public high school students do. As this movement grows, teachers unions and liberal county social services departments may try to crack down on or otherwise harass and interfere with these arrangements.

 

Yeah, I'm not going to take my cues from a guy who thinks that all of these problems came into the world when a man made of clay and a woman made from a bone were tricked into eating magic fruit from a talking snake.

 

My brother home schooled his children. This knocked him out of the middle class and in to the working class (bottom 20%). I chose to have my wife work and am an order of magnitude more well off than my brother (top 20%).

His children are hard working, well-adjusted and self sufficient. They all had to work as soon as they were able to help the family out financially and have a very powerful family affinity.

The question is are you willing to sacrifice economic wealth for the sake of your children? It is materialism vs family. Most of us choose materialism. I did and I now recognize it as huge mistake. I harmed my children by sending them to a public high school and I have apologized to them for subjecting them to that. Thank god they only got the gender ideology and CRT in high school and only to a limited degree.

The issue in schools will not be fixed because the elites don't see it as a problem. They see parents as the problem that needs fixing. In general, what the elite, they without exception get.

To put some numbers to this:

"Among married-couple families with children, 96.5 percent had at least one employed parent in 2021, and in 62.3 percent of these families both parents were employed."

That's going to be a bit different for non-married-couple families with children, and probably even more different for single parents.

 

Cameron is NOT a Christian nor does he upholds American values including "liberty and justice for all". One cannot be an ignorant bigot and then claim to be a Christian or a good American.

Sadly many elites are themselves on these gentrified urban / inner suburban school districts and they openly show their contempt for parents who protest things going on in their public schools. Home school co ops are key here for parents who can’t get into a nicer charter school or afford private schools when school boards defy parents

 

Cameron is not the one who is a bigot. He is a Christian and supports the Bible including what it says about sex and marriage. He’s a very good American as well.
