The bottom line is Natural Born does need further clarification. It's my belief based on research that the purpose of putting it in was to keep someone with a possible foreign allegiance from becoming president. Natural born is not the same as naturalized. In my view, Ted Cruz is ineligible.

 

To reduce a Constitutional requirement to be president to this level of decorum is alarming as much as is it offensive. One doesn't have to be a birther to desire adherence to the Constitution. Calling people stupid, retarded, idiots, just to name a few I've read in the first couple of pages, is real civil, isn't it? Statutes are laws passed by legislative bodies. There's only one law in the United States pertaining to eligibility to be president. It's not a statute. There are no statutes. There are two ways to argue Natural Born, either the Founders' intent or the Supreme Court decisions related to it. There is no such thing as relative statutes.
