Buying people cigarettes is probably the least flocked up idea this shower of dipsticks has dreamt up to date.

Maybe the fact that our economy is the envy of the entire world? European bankers turn green with envy when they see our economic data; American bankers would do the same if they ever looked at a country outside America. We've got almost no unemployment, a stable, well-regulated financial sector, solid economic growth and resilience enough to ride out the catastrophic financial mistakes of the US. The OECD ranks us as one of the strongest economies on the planet. Tell me something, when the GFC hit, what fundamentally changed in YOUR life?

Ah, there's this thing about mining, it's that you can't mine Australia's resources abroad... yeah, that sort of has to happen on site... you know, like in Australia.

Ah, one thing that you should know, most governments are given too much credit for the economic stability of the Australia (Howard included). The Australian economy will continue on in spite of anything that you put to it, minus something drastic. The Carbon Tax is far from a drastic measure, hell, it hardly rates as a bloop on the Australian economy's radar.

But I know, I know, Aussie core values being destroyed. Communism. Way of life being changed. Class War. Yadda-yadda-yadda.
