Reports from CBS news earlier said the Nashville police responded to 'shots fired' and discovered the RV playing a message over a loud speaker warning people to evacuate. After several minutes the RV exploded.

I am reading that an AT&T building may have been the target, that AT&T internet service is out across the area, and that the FBI is already investigating and has vowed to find the culprit(s) from Twitter accounts that I follow.

    The RV:

BREAKING: This is the RV that exploded on 2nd Ave N this morning. It arrived on 2nd Ave at 1:22 a.m. Have you seen this vehicle in our area or do you have information about it? Please contact us via Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or online via http://fbi.gov/nashville. @ATFHQ

    The aftermath:

No idea who the culprit is, but Twitter comments are already blaming extremists from either side.

Merry Christmas from 2020! Could you have expected anything less?

The loud speaker heard in the video may have been law enforcement attempting to clear the area. Not sure about that.

Now that it's possible a murder could have occurred I hope whoever did this gets the death penalty. Of course, some folks will want to wait until they see who the murderers are before they decide on that.

Right, and the MNPD released footage of officers searching the inside of the RV, so the bomber was not inside when it exploded. I was thinking maybe there was a homeless person out there who the PD may have missed when they were evacuating, but I have no idea, just a guess.

    edit:
the video of MNPD searching inside an RV is on Twitter, but I am not sharing it because I have not verified that it is authentic. I am still looking.

Assuming that the human remains aren't the bomber him/herself I think it is fair to assume the authorities will track down those responsible. I'm not a death penalty person, so life inside will do. Somewhere very unpleasant please.

So the RV was parked out front of the Nashville BellSouth (AT&T) building around 1:30 AM. Gunshots are heard (possibly part of the recording) and a recording starts repeating a message to evacuate the area. This goes on for some time before the RV finally explodes, indicating a strong desire by the bomber to mitigate casualties. The RV was parked on the BellSouth side of the street, and the buildings across from it are restraunts, retail shops and apartments.

Its pretty clear the BellSouth(AT&T) building was the target. So, either a disgruntled employee, someone wanted to knock out AT&T service for a good while (I don't think it knocked out all the internet...), or this is a distraction to hide/coverup something else (like a christmas morning tech/data heist or something).

Its F'in weird, and I'll guess it unlikely we get the full story anytime soon.

Great analysis. Something stinks. We still know nothing about the Vegas shooting.

I read today the remains at the scene were identified and belong(ed) to the person of interest.

    No motive yet.

There’s speculation that this might have something to with the 5G conspiracy theory floating around the internet.
