Interesting to hear that Romney is now leading in Iowa. Bachmann is no longer on top even in a state where she was born. Ouch.

In the survey, Romney received 21 percent among likely Iowa Republican caucus-goers, with Bachmann at 15 percent, Perry at 14 percent and Texas Rep. Ron Paul at 12 percent.

    Polls dont matter..Iowa doesn't either.
Iowans will scramble to find somebody to support..expect several changes.
Not until the election occurs does Iowa matter.
By then this pre season stuff will have been sorted out.

Somehow I expect Paul guys will say they are in front and being ignored.

    and they are right.

Can you see my point ?
If a Mormon CAN be nominated it ends the BS the Dems foster that conservatives are a narrow bunch of religious zealots.

Add a Pawlenty ( VP )and we see religion can be a co partner despite differences.

Same with anybody Romney picks as a VP..a unifying move.
    Uniting America in 2012.
Add Paul as our treasury secretary..and the problems will go away quickly..

Funny how the right people doing the right things can make a difference.

If Romney wins Iowa, he'd be in good shape. He's going to win NH for sure.

I am suprised at the lack of support for Rick Perry on this forum. Also at the support of Ron Paul. My pick would be Paul. But... think you people are underestimating Perry. He may not win Iowa or N. Hampshire. But I see him turning it around in S. Carolina and Florida. If he copuld manage to pull off Iowa, its over before it gets started.

As much as I usually disagree with everything you ever say... should Romney be elected as a center-right President, and should he nominate a socially conservative VP and put a libertarian in the treasury, I suppose, theoretically you could see one of the more cooperative governments in recent American history.

I've heard Paul has good support in NH. Is this not true?

I've been searching for a Perry supporter. Can't find one. Starting to think that his support base is perhaps old people, far away from me, in southern states, who do not read, and do not know what the internet is. I can understand how, if you get your information solely from Fox News, Perry would be your man.

I have made several posts in favor of Perry as I feel he can beat Obama. I have been disappointed in his debating, but there are several debates left, and I believe he can recover and win.

If Romney wins the nomination, many, many of us Christians will support him. He is a Godly man, perhaps a Christian, and certainly is not a Muslim.

So you wouldn't vote for a non-Christian, even if he had demonstrated ethical principles and values? Do you ever consider that the "religion" of politicians is used as a political tool? For example, in retrospect, do you really feel that George W. Bush was all that christian in his behaviors?

If a moderate Muslim candidate was anti-gay and anti-abortion would you support him?

    There's hope for us all..
I truly expect Romney to do just that if and when elected.

His history of doing so in Mass. during the health care debates should show the way .He just doesn't allow for his 1 point of view but allows the opposing view a seat at the table.
He allows that decisions made by committees to stand if they were arrived in a bi-partisan manner.Even if it may cost him politically..or he might not fully agree with their moves.

    Open and transparent indeed.
