As long as they don't enjoy it appears to be the Christian rule. 'Lauren Boebert blasts sex-ed classes. Twitter reminded her she was a teen mom' "She also said schools who teach about "same-sex sex" should have their funding cut." snip: “There are schools that are teaching worse than just gender ideology,” she said. “I mean they have comprehensive sex-ed. They’re teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex – and even same-sex sex.” lol https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2023/03...sses-twitter-reminded-her-she-was-a-teen-mom/
It's Granny Bert who wants to groom other people's kids to be as irresponsible as her 17 yr old son getting his recently 16 yr old g'friend pregnant. She wants ALL sex education in public schools not be funded. When she should have made sure he had a supply of condoms and understood the consequences of not using them she's off in DC making a fool out of herself exposing just how dangerous and stupid she actually is.
imo: This poster sums it up . hlthe2b " Her hypocrisy and wanting to do away with sex education, as well as choice for those women who" "would wish NOT to become pregnant--including birth control. Not to mention her attempts to cut the WIC program that provides FOOD for the product of these pregnancies--the children born to low-income mothers. That's the big deal. Her attempts to DECIDE for everyone ELSE. I doubt anyone cares what her teen does and would never discuss it had SHE not used the whole situation to push her hypocrisy and obnoxious opinions/policy on others while taking away THEIR choices."
Ban sex ed classes? Has there been any bills in Congress about that since she's been in? And defund Planned Parenthood, so what? Not sure what that has to do with hating on her because her son got some girl pregnant.
What does this say about her parenting? I also smell some big damage control and I am betting that someone was also threatening to take this to the press if she didn’t “play along”. That would be Boebert’s style to just put it out there and claim all is well. My sympathies are with the kids because the odds are against them succeeding in life
Soooo the quotes everyone has been posting are just “performance politics” and it does not matter unless she crafts a bill? Planned Parenthood spends the majority of its time and funding preventing abortion by assisting women and men with contraception https://www.sandiegouniontribune.co...redit-planned-parenthood-2011feb13-story.html I am betting young ‘Bert junior is in need of at least two of PP’S services eg STD treatment
Well, firstly, I'm not 'hating on her'. Secondly - if you go back to the initial post to which you replied, I talked about access to clinics and sex ed in schools. So right in line with my point.
Nah! But it is obvious she did not raise him to a) be more respectful of women b) use contraception and c) dangers and pitfalls of teen pregnancy I want you to focus on the “Leading cause of death”. Teen pregnancies are fraught and have a higher morbidity and mortality https://hdr.undp.org/content/eviden...-opportunity-cost-teenage-pregnancy-dominican
maybe he can get a job as an Abstinence Ambassador, heard they pay new teen parents of republicans well "Bristol Palin Says Abstinence 'Not Realistic at All'" https://www.foxnews.com/story/bristol-palin-says-abstinence-not-realistic-at-all "Bristol Palin Earns $262,000 as Abstinence Ambassador" https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrit...earns-262000-as-abstinence-ambassador-201154/ "Unmarried Bristol Palin, ‘ambassador for abstinence,’ pregnant again" https://www.thestar.com/entertainme...ambassador-for-abstinence-pregnant-again.html
Why are you including information from low income countries and comparing it to the USA? This isn't Australia where you can legally have babies with your uncle.
This comment? Is Bobert part of the church wing of the GOP? I've not heard that. So you want to discuss church teachings with Bobert and have her do what, shun her son and grandchild? I think you are making a lot of assumptions about Bobert's religiously by bringing up the straw man of "The more extreme wing of the Republican party is all about family values and church." What does that have to do with Bobert?
How does Biebert expect us to follow the Church if she can't get her son to live by the teachings of the Church? Complete and utter failure as a parent.
What type of backward logic is this? If he marries the girl and starts a family he supports, I'm not sure the issue? Young? Yes. Life change repercussion to their decisions? Absolutley. If they support and raise the baby, I'm not sure of the big issue or comparison.
That has nothing to do with banning sex Ed classes. Can anybody that made that claim in this thread back that up?
