    unemployment ticked up

    top growth was

    health care
    govt.....yes, taxpayer funded joibs
    foodservice

    not good sectors

Oh, and no surprise, Jan numbers were revised.................................DOWNWARD by 50,000........a typical thing we see. Report a fake number, get accolades from the Democrat media, then report the truth later to the sound of a whimper

Yest we see loyal Democrat voters such as yourself just lap it up

I don’t lose sleep over policies long abandoned before I was i was born.
Every civil rights leader from 60s who held office did so with the same party btw….and it wasn’t the GOP.

    unemployment ticked up

top new hires...................healthcare (very broad) , GOVT and FoodService

sad that taxpayer funded jobs and food service are again at the top of the list

Also as I mentioned, that the numbers from the prior month were................................wait for it....................should come as no surprise to anyone with open eyes..................revised DOWNWARD.

denial of school vouchers and choice is all on the Democrat party today. They again seem to know better than the parents what is best for the kids. And so it goes with the Democrat party

No, it's very relevant! Well unless you're a Democrat and have been conditioned to accept working two jobs is normal and a sign of a health economy

Imagine acting like sub 4% unemployment is bad, and when the last guy had it over 13% at one point

    You're ridiculous.

The unemployment rate is below 4%.

It's practically full employment in this country.

    Take an economics class.

Stock market and commodities trading is speculative.

    Un-employment and lay-offs are actual

I think the left is concerned that they know that when Trump is elected, the economy will turn around and fix the damage done. And that annoys them.

    I don’t give a damn about the OP’s layoffs, and here’s why;

    1. Pre-teen…..My late dad/mom had an active farm….lots of work

    Note; Before age 13, I was combining/harvesting.

    2. In my teens; I had 5 uncles who owned businesses…..when I needed extra cash, no problemo.

    3. When I was a Boulder university student….also worked on drilling rigs.

    4. From 1983 to Feb 2020; I was employed by Phillips Petroleum, Exxon, and then, HESS

Note; In 1987, I was LAID OFF by Phillips Petroleum, and within 24 hours, I was hired by Exxon.

    4. Feb 2020 to June 2021…..Severance Pay/Self-employment, mainly scrap metal

    5. June 2021 to present…..Sole proprietor, Remediation, abandoned oil&gas wells.

    FOLKS, I’VE NEVER BEEN UNEMPLOYED!

    In addition……

In Minot, ND, the unemployment office is located downtown, HOWEVER…..

….the “employment office” is actually located at a local coffee shop?????…..every morning, approx. 15 self-employed contractors gathers around one table, and they are always looking for an extra hand.

CONCLUSION; Lots of work for those who wants to work.

If they know that the economy will turn around when Trump is elected (I don't know what turn around means, outside of MAGA world doom and gloom it is actually not bad), why are they laying off people now? They should be hiring, preparing for the Trump boom.

Or, could it be that this kind of thinking is all Trump claptrap, because the reality TV star and entertainer has really ZERO clue as to how to "turn around" the economy? Just look at his stock market predictions, that should tell you how much clue he has.

Except of course there were a greater percentage of people working multiple jobs under Trump vs. Biden. I wonder if republicans care back then and questioned the "great economy."

What’s rationally relevant is how many residents are currently WORKING/paying taxes, and as a percentage of overall population.

Also, BLS “Non-farm” EXCLUDES a whole lot of WORKERS/taxpayers.

At one time, Republicans were chanting; “JOBS, JOBS, JOBS”, hence how many people are WORKING/contributing.

During Trump’s “good economic times/best economy we ever had”, Republicans were chanting; Thanks to Trump, we have the lowest unemployment rate since the mid 60’s”

    Trump’s lowest; 3.5%

    Biden’s lowest; 3.4%, Jan/Apr 2023……To Republicans, irrelevant!

Today, Republicans are bickering about our number layoffs.

Most important to ME; How many residents, citizens/LPR’s/Illegals/other status are currently working/contributing, and as a percentage of overall population.

    Really?

The inflation, interest rates, credit card debt, car payment defaults are all a mess. Americans are broke.

    But unemployment is low....

Hiring and firing is rarely speculative. The cost of labor and training isn't worth the speculation.

You trying to blame any of this on Trump ALREADY is comical.

    Lol. Such a partisan.

Here is you claiming the economy is doing so good under Trump that it was basically maxed out...

    http://politicalforum.com/index.php?posts/1071062748/

And then you claim he can't recover any economy.

Look dude. It's clear. You're so flippin blinded by partisanship and hate for Trump, there is zero opportunity for a logical debate on facts.

This economy under Biden SUCKS. But you dig your heels in about the Trump economy trying to excuse the failure.

    Whatever.

Yes! And having to get those second and third jobs because they only thing they can find is an assortment of part-time jobs, with comparatively crap pay and no benefits.

Quote; “This economy under Biden SUCKS”

    4 reasons why I like Biden’s economy;

    1. Demand exceeding supply also raised the price of many commodities…I made tons of money when the price of scrap steel doubled.

    2. Biden’s Infrastructure

Started a Remediation Business in June 2021, mainly abandoned oil&gas wells.

Today’s Average Monthly Gross Revenue; $33,000, and my expenses equates to approx. 50% of gross revenue.

    3. High price of crude oil; Through an ESOP, I owned 400 HESS shares at an average price of $50…..sold them at $145 when Chevron bought HESS.

    4. In 2019, I’ve inherited 500 acres. Last 3 years, farmland values and rental rates have significantly increased.
