The show business entertainer's referencing such political icons as Howard Stern, Sean Hannity, and Rosie O'Donnell (as opposed to, say, Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln) was a wonderful affirmation of his proper milieu, but in the excuse department, the "They gave me a defective microphone!" one works better than the Let's Try Blaming Lester Holt! desperation.

The reality tv performer himself declared. "I thought Lester did a great job. Honestly, I thought Lester did a great job!" shortly after the debate was over.

Lester Holtz did not lie he referred to the Smut Joke,s interview in 2002 that The Trimpeizda did and Trumpeizda agreed with the war.

Cavuto's claim is obviously false. Trump took no position for or against Mr Bush's war in that interview, contrary to the candidate's self proclamation.

Of course, we know from the Stern interview that he did support it.

And we know that he lies about it now.

So, no Neil Cavuto did not catch Lester Holt out in a lie.

That was a pretty pathetic attempt to manufacture a fake narrative.

You must have comprehension issues, Donald did not say anything definitive about the war at all, he merely stated either go big or go home. He sure likes MacArthur for some reason. The reference to Generalissimo MacArthur is not a reference intended to convey caution or restraint, it is a statement about going in full frontal and blasting the daylights out of someone without regard for anyone else including the chain of command. That is why Truman fired his sorry arse.

 

Since when is "I guess so..." a rousing endorsement of anything. All it shows is that in 2002, Donald Trump was not really versed on the subject, and did not claim to be. As a matter of fact he did say one thing right. If we hadn't held back in 1992/1992, then we would not have had to worry about Saddam in 2002. As a matter of fact there would not have been organized effort to pose an insurgency. Al Qaeda did not exist, and the Muslim Brotherhood was poorly organized, I read the Pentagon assessment in 92 that claimed that we would have engaged the main seasoned forces of the Republican Guard within 50 miles of Bagdad. It claimed that we would have suffered 30 to 40 percent casualties in taking Bagdad. Myself and several others went on record saying that was total malarkey. Those forces could not even defeat Iran, they did not stand a chance against the coalition forces.

Trump failed miserably when it comes to facts. The most specatcular of which, of course, was his continued false assertion that he opposed the Iraq war.

The fact that he loudly insisted on this lie in the face of clear evidence says something about the man.

To Donald Trump, the truth is whatever he says it is at the moment. Five minutes later, it could be something else. He will believe both versions equally vehemently and attack anyone who dares question him. He never does so with facts or evidence. Bluster and bullying is his preferred tactic.

The rest of your post is a non sequiter about someone quoted in one of Rupert Murdoch's tabloids. Since the Murdoch press is in the tank for Trump, this isn't suprising.
