What business is it of yours what my social/financial status is and what I do with my money or not? Quite frankly, it is none of your damn business what I do with any of it.

As for what the wealthy does with their money, not my concern. I just stated they did not wish to part with their money. I never stated that was either good or bad, just the fact that the rich hate to spend money unless it is for something that benefits them with huge dividends.

Maybe you should evaluate why most of the liberal left is ultra wealthy.

Nobody is poor because somebody else is rich. That's the important factor to the conversation, one the left will ignore.

Skilled labor never gets tips.

That is why their labor rate is loaded with overhead and profit costs.

Charge a labor rate of 75 an hour and want a tip. Seriously?

Dude, construction workers don't get tips. Not in this reality, anyway. Construction workers generally don't interact with the homeowner at all. That's up to the contractor, and he's not sitting around waiting to get a tip so he can pay his workers. That whole tip thing is highly unprofessional, and good construction workers are professionals. Do you tip your doctors or teachers? No. The reason you don't tip professionals is because they get paid what they contracted to do the job for.

Not because they want to whinge about how they can't they live without charity.

 

I am not at all rich, but I have a friend who is. He built a chain of independent gas station-convenience stores from scratch. Did it by the boot-strap method, no outside investors, no debt. Built it to 70 of them by offering people cheaper gas than his competitors. A couple of his long-term employees went off to build their own gas stations, and he backed.

He succeeded by offering the public something they figured was in their interest, and it made him and his family rich. That is how capitalism works.

Many here would vilify him as an evil capitalist.

And yes I did get tips (I never solicited them) from homeowners when I did residential HVAC work. I forget what the labor rate was but those middle class folks knew that I sure as heck wasn't getting any more than $20/hr.

I always tip the guys working for the contractor...because I know they ain't getting much of that $75/hr themselves.

I guess that's the difference between you and I...as noted.

 

If they produced garbage they couldn't sell it only points to the failure of "supply side" conservative economics...again.
