They still have the choice, no different than before. The only thing that's changed is how far they have to drive.

What will be your reaction if the Democrats get their asses kicked this November?

You went above and beyond simply claiming it was written by white people.

Incidentally you just voted for a rich white person for president. And that is a fact

    Curious you didn't mention drugs.

That was one of the many, many contradictions of the SC cobbled together "right to privacy." Going to a clinic, which is an actual business, to have an abortion conducted by a state licensed abortion provider in which money is exchanged was considered "private," but growing your own weed and smoking it for your own consumption was still a crime. It just never made sense as a doctrine.

Not ever one has a car, not everyone can afford to leave their state.

I have a lot of poor relatives. Every single one of them is capable of getting $50 for a round trip bus fare for something as impactful as getting an abortion. Where there is a will, there is a way.

My point is that the percentage of people that are legitimately incapable of either getting access to a vehicle from someone or paying a nominal bus fare is exceedingly tiny. They exist, but in numbers that are statistically insignificant. While I do not have a concrete percentage to cite, common sense however points to a tiny number. A very tiny number. Probably less than 1%. For those people, I suspect you will see some sort of subsidy or donated bus tickets etc, and I would agree with such common sense solutions to that particular problem. It most certainly is not an insurmountable problem that cannot be fixed.

With all of that being said, when you see all of these college females protesting and acting as if their ability to get an abortion has been stripped, that assertion is simply not true. For them, if they happen to live in a state where abortion becomes illegal, they are but a short car ride away from getting what they seek. For them, it is a minor inconvenience. Nothing more, and nothing less.

The left's Chicken Little routine where they are acting like the world is coming to an end, is truly much ado about nothing. It is getting more and more difficult to take you folks seriously anymore.

I'll have to live with it. But, with the court repealing R v W, I'm optimistic.

Biden, comparatively speaking, isn't 'rich'. At the end of Biden's vice presidency, his net worth was a paltry $2.5 million. For a senator of 30 years and a veep for 8. that's not 'rich'. Since then, his wealth as grown due to speeches and books, as all former executives of Government do, but still, that isn't rich compared to most politicians in government.

But, being rich isn't the real complaint, I have nothing against wealth if it is justly earned, it is the the lack of diversity, and the efforts the founders made to keep their kind, the ruling class, to continue to be the ruling class, is what I'm objecting to. I think Madison came right out and used the word 'lesser' in his fear of 'factions'.

Moreover, only Democrats elected a black president, only Democrats nominated a woman for president, only democrats elected a woman for vice president/

And, the woman that Republicans nominated for vice president was the most unqualified, ill informed person in history, for that office. As Governor of Alaska, she couldn't finish her term, she resigned. Why did she resign? She stated that she didn't want to be a lame duck. Who does that? When asked what news journals she reads to be up on current events, she couldn't name one. I'm a nobody and I can name at least five.

Now, that, my friend, is card carrying member of the ILLITERATI, thanks to Republicans.

Only Republicans freed the slaves only Republicans put a black man on the supreme Court. So there is that to consider

Oh your one of those who thinks a lot of American women are hell bent on keeping the right to kill their babies if they wish.

$200 for hotel stay, over $600 for the abortion, and money lost time off from work. Not every one has it.

and, restrictive abortion laws show a statistical increase of deaths in women. Moreover, forcing a poor women to give birth
will make her more likely to live in poverty for longer.

No, it's much worse than you think. And the evidence doesn't back up your claim. Moreover, you forget, the court took away a right it bestowed for 50 years, upheld my many judges both conservative and liberal. To those people whom the right has been vanquished, all the intellectual arguments won't amount to squat to them. No one is thinking about the arguments, they are feeling it's effect.
Oh, knock it off. The court granted a woman's right to have an abortion, it was upheld for 50 years, and Trump and repubs took it away.

That's what will be remembered, all the rest is bullshit.

2.5 million women live below the poverty line. Out of state abortions cost typically at least $600, plus $200 for hotels, and the bus faire.

that's a lot of dough for a woman living below the poverty line.

    Cut the crap.

Liberal Repubs freed the slaves. conservatives put two perverts on the court, Thomas and Kavanaugh, (I believe Hill and Ford) both who do not belong there. Thomas is hard right, he wants to end gay marriage, restore sodomy laws (which, in some states, means anything other than vaginal), and end contraception. Thomas is repulsive in his outlook. Kavanaugh's speech before the hearing was petty, far below the dignity I would expect of a Supreme Court justice. Republicans are dumbing down.

If it's such a god-awful imposition to get bus fare to somewhere else to get an abortion maybe a 50 cent condom would be the right idea from the get-go or possibly even absence if you cannot afford to raise a child.

Why would you need a hotel room?

Isn't an abortion typically an outpatient procedure?
