Let's say something nice about global warming

Since we’re having Kumbaya moments on the Political Forum lately, I thought I would offer the same opportunity that we have provided for Barak Owebama, North Korea and Adolph Hitler to global warming.

Now I perceive that there are some unfortunate mindless misfits without the capacity of intellect and reason who will not be able to grasp even this simple concept. There are such unfortunates. They are not at fault, they seem to have been born that way.

Being as objective on all things as I am, I will start: Global warming has given all those communist/socialists disguised as peace activists something to do now that the Cold War is over and provided 20 million jobs worldwide.

 

Global warming has allowed Al Gore to buy a big ol house and a private jet!

 

Warmer is much less dangerous than colder.

 

I love warmth.

 

I will say it has brought into the discussion mans impact on the environment. There is no debate that the earth is actually warming up but the argument is whether its a normal occurrence or man-made.

I'm believe mans impact is very little on the overall warming but it gets people talking about subjects they may not have otherwise.

 

I pay less for heat!

 

I'll live closer to the beach.

We had a high of 71 F today. If Global Warming allows for a beautiful, warm day in the middle of winter---I'm all for it.

I wonder if those who see this as doom and gloom have considered what it will mean for food prices.

I mean if the north is opened up to a long enough season to grow grain, it will mean meat prices will be cut in half.

I think it does have some positive agricultural effects in places. It's extremely likely to produce more overall negative effects than positive effects, though.

that is 100% completely false...it is due to man made global warming....the science is settled sir.

 

Not entirely accurate. There is a direct correlation to Co2 levels and temperature rise but you could argue how much of that Co2 is from man and how much is natural. There is no hard science in that regard yet.
