The reckless game played by shareholder activists is dangerous for shareholders who depend on their investments to carry them through retirement.

Thankfully, Americans for Tax Reform has taken a positive step in this cause by starting the Shareholder Advocacy Forum. This organization will provide a voice to the legitimate shareholders while holding executives accountable when they embrace activist proposals. There should always be repercussions for company leaders which bend to the will of left-wing activists.

The priorities of the shareholders saving for retirement and other life goals should take precedence over the whims if activist shareholders. When you actually read the linked Conspiracy article it is nothing but FLAMEBAIT for gun owners under the thinly veiled guise of PRETENDING to be about 401k's.

ALL of the examples are about Gun Manufacturers.

Since the NRA is on the verge of collapse it looks like the Conspiracy theorists have picked up the slack for them.

In summation the OP is NOT about 401k's or "liberal activists". About the ONLY word that the title got right was the term "gunning".

It's typically the GOP that wants to keep the wealth in the 1% while the little man works for his peanuts in order to keep generating that wealth. The GOP hates unions and the last thing they would want is to give the working man a piece of the wealth he slaved to create.

Nobody is gunning for your 401k. No 401k plan needs to have stock of gun manufacturers in their portfolio. In fact, most funds may exclude such stock for the obvious bad publicity they can cause, thus creating more risk for the fund and the investor. This is a fake title of the post, slandering liberals.

 

The Democrats just pretend to care while they export our jobs to 3rd world countries and bring in a flood of people to drive down wages all the while they burden the middle class with heavy handed regulations that do little more than drive up prices.

Didn't actually need to. Your argument was about not needing stock in gun manufacturing in my 401k. If the company has the appropriate return on investment I want that stock n my portfolio whether the company makes guns or tubas does not matter a whit to me nor should it to any real investor. I find this around the corner attempt to outlaw guns repulsive.

 

Ask the liberals who run most of our daily newspapers if they would be in favor of a union at their paper. I can tell you from experience the answer would be, "No".

The article is about anti-gun activists trying to hurt gun manufacturers at the bottom line, even by buying up stock of gun manufacturers to get a say in shareholder decisions, for example forcing them to do studies with regards to gun rights.

The article, however, has NOTHING to do with liberals going after people's 401ks. Thus, the title of this thread is patently false and can be categorized under another fake news thread that are so prevalent on this forum.

It is MBFC that is the flamer. They label the site because it is a Christian site that believes the Bible literally and accepts the biblical view of creation and angels. The rating has nothing to do with the sites political beliefs. MBFC is a bigot hate organization with less than zero credibility and any conservative or Christian organization getting a negative rating from them is actually a badge of honor to take pride in. The story is true. Bloomberg has been intimidating banks that do business with those in the gun industry for years. Telling me I have no need for any stock investments in the gun industry although none of your business may actually be good advice. My firearm stocks fared best when the greatest gun salesman in history was in office from 2008-2016. Darn old President Trump came along and calmed that industry and their stocks have returned to normal levels.
As far as liberals go, they are currently very busy slandering themselves.

The article linked by the OP has probably some truth. However, the title "liberals are gunning for your 401k" is 100% fake news. The article has nothing to do with 401ks.

 

One of the nut cases on MSNBC said that the 401K laws should e changed so that arms industry stock was not allowed to be part of 401Ks. If it is fake news, MSNBC is promoting it.
