They are so afraid of Trump winning that they want to tie Project 25 to him and convince the public that if Trump wins, this is what your going to have to live with. Project 25 is ideas from a number of people, some who worked with Trump and the Heritage Foundation. Some of those ideas expressed was used in Trump's first term. But that doesn't mean Trump agrees with Project 25 or most of their ideas. Most are just suggestions. Trump and others made that clear. But it doesn't stop Democrats from pushing it. if Trump is elected.

What do Trump and his advisers say about Project 2025?
In a post to his social media platform Friday, Trump wrote, "I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them."

Trump's pushback to the initiative came after Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said in a podcast interview that the nation is "in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be."

But even before Roberts' comments during "The War Room" podcast — typically hosted by conservative commentator Steve Bannon, who reported to federal prison to begin serving a four-month sentence last week — Trump's top campaign advisers have stressed that Project 2025 has no official ties to his reelection bid.

Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita, senior advisers to the Trump campaign, said in a November statement that 2024 policy announcements will be made by Trump or his campaign team.

"Any personnel lists, policy agendas, or government plans published anywhere are merely suggestions," they said.

While the efforts by outside organizations are "appreciated," Wiles and LaCivita said, "none of these groups or individuals speak for President Trump or his campaign."

In response to Trump's post last week, Project 2025 reiterated that it was separate from the Trump campaign.

"As we've been saying for more than two years now, Project 2025 does not speak for any candidate or campaign. We are a coalition of more than 110 conservative groups advocating policy & personnel recommendations for the next conservative president. But it is ultimately up to that president, who we believe will be President Trump, to decide which recommendations to implement," a statement on the project's X account said.

How do you disagree with something you know nothing about?
His press Secretary is in recruitment ads for 2025.
It’s literally filled with people from his admin.
Clearly y’all know how bad it is or you wouldn’t be running cover for him on this nonsense.

Glad you too are rejecting this “plan”. Does that mean none of the strategies will be enacted?

Never heard of it but I fully expect Biden to link Trump somehow to the cannibals that ate his uncle.

What you’ve proven is how effective RW brainwashing is.

Project 2025 is the Heritage Foundation plan to, among other things, to replace experienced government servants with know nothing tRaitor tRump toadies; at all levels of government.

Their real intent is to make it impossible for the government to function so they can SAVE us with dictatorship.

Oh please explain, I'd love to hear about how not knowing of Project 25 is an example of effective brainwashing.

Do you think we knew about it, but republicans broke into our house at night and brainwashed us so we wouldn't remember it the next morning? :icon_picknose:

Just like ANTIFA before, or other plants produced by unknown alphabet organizations in the US government, democrats must prove the boogie man exists lest their tenuous grip on power is lost forever..

It's time to start taking a hard look at why government is so intransigent, why it's so inefficient, and why it will not allow itself to be restructured or otherwise fixed.

Reformation of government is the future.

. . . but . . . the plan DOES exist . . . and you can read it . . . and it was put together by MAGA Trump supporters.

Is this like him saying he wasn’t friends with epstine and had been on his plane more than a dozen times? Or his healthcare bill? Or that he didn’t sleep with a porn star while his third wife was pregnant with their child?

Do you find it odd that a dozen people from his administration are heavily involved in project 2025 and a significant number of financial backers also have ties

trump seems to be a liar, that you believe him saying otherwise lends credibility to your kinds ultimate goal is hilarious.

So what's your argument? If someone votes for you as a candidate, you somehow become responsible for their conduct?

No. But these are his former (and likely future) staffers and members of one of his strongest political alliance groups. And it echoes his positions. I can't find anything in here that Trump would be against, and the most worrisome parts of it are things that Trump has loudly been proclaiming.

It was put together by the Heritage Foundation so it is only a wish list.

The majority of Trump supporters want nothing to do with the Heritage Foundation.

Just like most Trump supporters see right through the Lincoln Project that most lefties want to claim are real Republicans instead of the RINOs that they actually are.

The 20 point Republican Party platform for 2024 is what you should really be hysterical about.

The most worrisome parts of it are parts that Trump supporters ABSOLUTELY agree with. And Trump and the Heritage Foundation are joined at the hip.

Out of curiosity, what are the most troubling aspects of the project 25 , in your opinion?

It's the blueprint for his potential alt/maga-presidency, but I don't blame him for trying to distance himself for him, because it has some pretty crazy ideas. Whoever leaked it is probably looking for another job.

    He says he:
    1. Knows nothing about it
    2. Disagrees with many things in it

And.......he doesn't see the problem with those two contradictory comments

Dissolving all independence between the DOJ and the Presidency. Vasty expanding executive power.

I think many of us feel that's already happened (we can agree to disagree here)? Honestly though, I don't really know about the current relationship standards enough to compare it to what project 25 would want.

It's way too late to paint Trump as some kind of moderate. After Roe vs Wade, we KNOW that the RW extremists dictate his policy.

Of course, I am sure a lot of uninformed independents will fall for the propaganda and vote for him anyway.

How about the fact that they want every single hire to answer a questionnaire to ensure they have the same beliefs as the movement?
