Pro democracy Libyans having fun in Zoo. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4icorYD_mE"]Shocking video: Libyan rebels cage black Africans, force-feed them flags - YouTube[/ame] http://rt.com/news/libya-rebels-torture-africans-679/
What did you expect ? Mercenaries always have a problem when they are caught . But I do accept that not giving them Tomato Sauce with the flag was over the top . It's all quite mild by Congo standards but the mainstream press cannot be bothered to report that - even though it has been going on for years .
“Eat the flag, you dog. Patience you dog, patience. God is Great,” screams a voice off-camera in the video" Generally, there's always room for an "Allah Akbar" during murder and torture. _
Just one more reason to avoid taking sides in these conflicts. Qaddafi was a thug. The rebels are too, of course. Arming either side just aids in the destruction. I'm on the fence about intervention, surgical action to rescue people from torture and genocide seems worth the cost, but supporting factions in civil war---the balance seems always to end up in the red.
Allahu Akbar? Disgrace to Islam, Libya, Arabs, humanity.... I'm sure the black Libyans are loving NATO's democracy. Maybe in Syria the rebels, after bringing down Assad, can lock Christians in cages and make them eat Syrian flags. Every day these revolutions lose more and more credibility.... Meanwhile Bahrainis are still struggling with no media exposure, no help, but hope. These people though, disgusting. And this isn't the first time these "rebels" have done these kind of things to black Libyans.
I don't see how what's going on in Bahrain as having any more significance than the other conflicts. The only real thing to be learned from all of this is that we need to stay out of it. America and the West in general will still be blamed even if we don't get involved, but at least a lack of action is cheaper than taking action.
Yes,Libya has just exchanged one thug for a whole group of thugs beyond any law.The supposed people in power there have very minimal sway over the others and I cannot see that changing much.
Apparently there have been quite a few cases of African workers and students taken up as suspected mercenaries and treated this way. It would be interesting to find out how many of the men mistreated in that video should have actually been there. Beyond that, the casual cruelty toward the detained men is definitely disturbing. No doubt the same people who slammed the USA so harshly for Abu Ghraib will fall all over themselves making excuses for the Libyan rebels.
